First thing is the NY Giants when hot have scored on a lot of good defenses the last few years.

Secondly Newman out is big as we all know, but the scheme was effected from top to bottom.

TNew will man up on his side & Hamlin ca help Henry over the top.

That way Henry will play the ball and the pressure will come.

Our defense was to loose and trying not to get beat.

Fergy is the biggest issue IMO.

The defense will pan out soon enough.

I think that's a logical view. The Giants have had a very good offense and it was obvious we were giving up the underneath stuff after the long completion.

I was disappointed in the lack of pressure, but Spencer was a positive tonight and looked pretty good for a rookie in his first game. He looks physical and he can get to the QB and should only improve over time.

No doubt the Newman return is a must and plus but a successful pass rush would make wonders happen.

Remember the 1992 Cowboys sported Issac Holt and Larry Brown at corner before letting a rookie named Kevin Smith spell Holt late in the season, they managed to have a top ranked unit, how was this achieved? Excellent pass rush and run defense.

A healthy TNew and a combo of Ellis/Spencer should really help, but losing Fergy really blows. Our run defense sucked the moment he left.
