Well everyone here calls him soft and injury prone, and after last nights game, people are calling for his head, and claiming hes lost a step, and not worth the money we pay him

i wonder if the coaching staff feels the same? Im sure not everyone here is way off....and we have Scandrick and Jenkins(who looks like our best CB so far, or potential to be)

and even after he got hurt for that 1 play, people seemed to not care, so im sure you all wouldn't care if we were to release him, right?

What will you ever do with your log in name?

Newman didn't lose the game by himself. We appeared out of position on key plays as a defense.

However, for what it's worth, the majority of the night we held their offense to field goals. Our offense just didn't get it going until late. People actually do get beat in the NFL from time to time.

i think its our pass rush mainly, how does Eli break containment?

Newman is a complete joke. He's lost any and all ball awareness skills that he might have had. He got away with PI and got torched at the end of the first half of the Bucs game in a situation where he shouldn't have.

His play last night was completely pathetic and embarassing only outdone by turnover tony.

He's been bad so far this year. Not just shaky, but bad. I don't think there's any question about that.

Fingers crossed hoping that changes.

My problem with newman isnt that he gets beat...every corner gets beat from time to time. My problem is that he consistently fails to even look for the ball and it feels like he can be beat deep faurly easily (although sometimes thats probably on the safety too). With that said he is still our best CB as of now. Scandrick on the other hand....

Who knows? The Giants played vanilla, but mistake-free football and we had a bad game, and a lot of people are underestimating their offensive line, which seemed to have a really good game.

Let's get 'em next time in their house. Guarantee we won't be playing this horrible then.

Put on a helmet and go to camp next year since you know all about ball awareness skills -- you clearly are a cornerback expert!

against tampa, laufenberg made the comment that someone needs to go wake up newman and tell him there is a game going on. Last night he said what appears to be true, newman looks like a different guy.

He looks like the other lazy primadonna's in that secondary. Hamlin and jenkins.

If newman keeps going south we are going to win 6 games because the other two guys appear to be poor also.

His last season should have already come and gone. Paying an average 30-year-old CB $50 million last year was one of the dumbest moves Jerry Jones has made in quite some time.

it sucks seeing our D struggle like this

Wade said his schemes mainly focus on the front seven, he does not really worry about coverages....well that sucks

Thats dave campo football, play the man. That is what we saw for years here starting in the late 90s till he was gone.

That pass interference was tough.

What it looked like to me, was that Newman initially got hooked by the receiver - and turned a bit, and he started to complain to the refs. Unfortunately the play was still going on, and he ended up walking into the receiver, who had turned Newman around with the hook in the first place.

Yeah theebs. He woke up (at least temporarily) after he made that great open field tackle. Unfortunately the other members of the secondary remained asleep.
