Not much he could do considering the way Florida was in his face every single time he dropped back.
It reminded me of the Florida/Nebraska championship game of 1995. At least I think that was the season or year. The Florida QB in that game just had no time to throw the ball. It may have been Danny Wuerfel, but my memory is not too clear.
I thought Troy Smith was becoming a tad bit over rated or at least over hyped coming into the game. Not to say he is not a very good QB, but I didn't understand some of the hype of him coming into the game. The big teams he faced this year all have proven to be less than worthy. Texas, Iowa and Michigan just weren't as good as people made them out to be especially on the defensive side, so his good performances against them weren't as great as they seemed at the time.
Even with that no QB would do well in that situation last night. UF's defense just beat Smith and the O-line up. It is more of an indictment of Jim Tressel. He is a very good coach who had a very bad game plan with no adjustments. I have heard some mention of the 50 day lay off. That can be a negative and UF also had a long lay off as well. Maybe the Big 10 will change their schedule so as not to end their season a week ahead of other schools.
