Why not get rid of it? It probably gets the least amount of traffic, and anything posted there is most likely posted in the fan zone first.

The newsfeed zone is an article generator. It's not used for member posting. We move a lot of threads from there to the Fan Zone.

No. Those are feeds and we move selected articles there to the Fan Zone. You're welcome to post there but that's not its intended use.
