than Jason Garrett.

Reasons sited:

Marc Colombo's improvement.

Tony Romo going to the Pro Bowl when Tony Sparano was calling the plays.

Bill Parcells saying no to Sean Peyton when he wanted Tony Sparano in New Orleans.

Discuss?

This was my take last week when we were discussing the possibility of Garrett leaving and who would replace him.

It wouldn't surprise me a bit of teams came calling for Sparano.

the big thing is we don't need to loose either but we sure can't afford to loose both. sparano is very good but the only way he leaves is as a h.c. and i don't know if he is a biig candidate for a h.c. job

I've been saying it all along.

That was a well oiled machine last year too, it's just that this year they don't have Parcells stifling the playcalling.

It's like Sparano changed this offense from a sputtering 4 cylinder to a roaring V8 last year, Garrett comes along and changes out the standard spark plug cables for some pretty blue ones and gets credit for the whole engine. For all we know, Sparano was the one that gave it the final tuneup in the offseason.

It sure is a luxury having both of them. Who knows how much Garrett leans on Sparano? If we have to lose one, I would hope to keep Garrett because of his upside. But if Redball leaves, it's nice that we already have a great offensive mind to call plays again. That is if we don't lose them both.

The players love Sparano so i love him too but our running game has been so damn inconsistent in his tenure.

In 2009 Jason Garrett will be head coach and Tony Sparano will be the offensive coordinator.

Wade Phillips signed a 3 year deal with an option for a 4th year.

What is your belief with regards to what happens to Wade Phillips that year?

jerry probably knows that if he wants to win a superbowl he is going to have to keep all of them. otherwise no superbowl for the boys in near future.

You're a year off I believe, it was a two year deal with the option for a third.

That can be completely contributed to players, rather than coaching, IMHO. Clearly, this guy is a good coach--not that I think you'd disagree with that.

Wade Phillips makes a statement after being named head coach of the Cowboys during a news conference Thursday. Phillips received a three-year contract that includes an option for a fourth season.

"It's a big job, but I'm ready for it," said Phillips, who got a three-year contract that includes an option for a fourth season. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Not sure what the option is, but it is indeed a 3 year contract.

Wade Wilson is waiting in the wings if we should happen to lose both Sparano and Garrett. I'm guessing all three stay though.

Hmmm, some how I confused myself, well if Dallas wins a ring I wouldn't be surprised to see Wade ride off on top, nothing left for him to do after the ring but enjoy his grand kids.
