Camp Dowhatchalike
(WG translation: Do what you like)

The media had a fun time on the sidelines joking about how many players were NOT at practice Wednesday in San Antonio.

T.O., Terry Glenn, Aaron Glenn, Jason Hatcher, Jamaica Rector, Isiah Stanback, Jim Molinaro, Greg Ellis, Flozell Adams, and Marc Colombo all missed the early morning session with injuries or they were just being held out.

Guard Kyle Kosier was excused. His wife is having a baby girl.

Under Bill Parcells, guys practiced. He didn't care. Hurt or not. The Tuna wanted guys out there.

Phillips says he treats each player different, but fair.

After practice I spoke with Jason Ferguson, an 11 year vet, about guys getting time off. He was fine and had no real complaints.

Bradie James thought it was a smart move by Phillips who says older players need to be rested in training camp and ready for the first regular season game of the year.

We all know that Parcells would have been all over Adams for not already being on the field & we'd all have assumed Adams was goofing off. And we can only imagine what he'd have done to Ellis. Probably won't have said anything to T.Glenn, but you know Parcells really would have been on Burnett's case reminding us all he missed parts of practices for last 2 TC & questioned if Burnett had mental toughness to play this game. And what about Stanbuch......hasn't played I don't know what he can do and players must be on the field, etc.

I'm somewhat concerned about these injuries but in the long haul (except for whether Ellis can come all the way back & assuming TGlenn injury isn't serious & Colombo gets on the field soon) none of these minor setbacks are serious & won't affect the team's play.

my give-a-crapper would be a lot higher up the concern meter if parcells "methods" gave us results we wanted in the end.

they didn't so who i don't really care what *differences* reporters are making up now. they're bored looking to stir stuff up.

The Roys, Newmans, Wares, Romos, and Wittens on the team should be absolutely relentless in riding these old guys about needing time off to tend to their fragile and elderly bodies.

Especially T.O. :D

Considering how badly we faded at the end of each season with BP' s methods I'm more than willing to see if a different approach in the summer pays off when it counts in December and January.

If it gets the team out of the 9-7 one-and-done rut, I don't care if Phillips runs it like Club-Med! (well, maybe not that loose)

Parcells' methods didn't get the expected results anyway.

if by "publicly humiliate" you mean say something in a private coaches meeting and someone else leak it to the media then you get an A+

Seems like way too much to write - but sure, that's what I mean.

Well under Parcells players felt guilty if they couldn't practice, Phillips understands older players need to be brought along slowly.. I just Hatcher gets better, with the pulled hamstring...
