Stop Talking About New England

All this talk about the Cowboys facing New England October 14th needs to stop.

The Cowboys need to beat St. Louis this Sunday at Texas Stadium. After that game the Cowboys must go on the road at try to win at Buffalo on Monday Night Football.

This just in, the Cowboys ARE NOT good enough to overlook any team on their schedule.

The Rams game is no gimmie. I don't care if quarterback Marc Bulger has two broken ribs and is missing three of his offensive lineman. I know Pro Bowl running back Steven Jackson will miss the game because of a groin tear, but that is why you should be worried if you cheer for the Cowboys.

The Rams defense is awful against the run and they are missing some key defensive backs.

The Rams are 0-3 and an 0-4 start means they will not have any chance to make the playoffs. This is a must win for them.

St. Louis may not have the healthiest club but 53 men desperate to save their season should be a concern.

Add that with all the media coverage saying the Cowboys are the best team in the NFC and I can see the Cowboys possibly not playing their best football on Sunday.

Bill Parcells used to tell his players, "Don't Eat the Cheese". The Tuna is right. The Cowboys can't eat this cheese the media and fans are laying at their feet right now. A loss to the Rams and the Cowboys will be just a contender instead of the favorite to win the NFC.

A loss to the Bills on Monday Night and the Cowboys will read about how the best in the NFC can't measure up to the worst in the AFC.

Forget this talk about a game next month against the Patriots and just think like the coaches do... about the next opponent. That would be St. Louis on Sunday.

Sorry, but I am a FAN, not a player so I will look, talk and think about beating the crap out of New England for the next 3 weeks.

Me looking ahead has no bearing on the game. I think the players are focused on who they play each week, so there is nothing to see here, move along....

You nailed it.

The fans and media can look ahead all they want.

Its when the players and staff look ahead when problems occur.

after the ridiculous accusations he used to make against parcells and the amount of time he cried like a little girl over how tough parcells was on the team Newy Scruggs doesnt get the right to quote him.

Hmmm...you know if you want people to stop talking about it, don't write an article about it that you know will be posted on many message boards.

Yes-a few guys talking about NE on THIS MB = EVERY DC fan talking about NE = every single player and coach on the DC talking about NE.

IMHO-I feel the players and coaches are very focused on the Rams, I sure hope so-especially after Isaac Bruce making his bone-headed comments, I'm sure it all but fired up the entire DC.

He said just what I have been saying! STOP talking about the Patsies!

With this team, I have absoutely no FEAR of those jokers! None at all...! Let the team see what the Rams bring, then "on the road again...I just can't wait to get on the road again" Bills...

Screw the Patriots!

Actually I'm looking forward to us playing the Rams followed by the Bills next weekend.

Unlike some, I expect this to be a tough game. Like so often happens when it's against the Cowboys, teams come to play us tough cause it's often the highlight of their season -- particularly when they get off to a poor start and the Cowboys are plahying well & getting national reputation as the elite team in the NFL. An elite team plays like an elite team.

On the other hand, I expect the Cowboys to play very well. If they can't concentrate and bring their best game against the Rams, they aren't a legit SB contender. Too often in the past, we screw up after winning only 2 games in a role, or in 1-2 cases we win 3-4 in a roll. Either we get too satisfied in our play, lose concentration or don't work hard enough.

This team needs to make a major statement that there will be no letdown against any 0-3 team. I expect to see a hard hitting defense who makes things happen. Bulgar might be tough to sack if they use mostly 3-5 step drops, but they should get their hands up and get those INTs. Also hit the WRs at the LOS to break up their routes. I want to see a good running game from both JJ & MBIII with them combined to put up close to 200 yards on the ground. Want better QB protection so Romo can stay in the pocket and not get his uniform dirty at all.

This game can be close 30-24 or hopefully we blow them out 45-17. We've had to work real hard to win our first 3 games. I want to see us work just ras hard against the Rams but reallyi blow them out. The rest of the NFL will be watching how we play perceived lesser teams and I want the Cowboys to make another statement. The statement will be we take no prisoners. We are a tough team and a physical team. I want to see players on their team exhausted as the 2nd half begins just like before.

I'll repeat this same thing next week before the Bills game on national television. Bills might be 0-4 next weekend, but I don't care. I want the rest of the country and the rest of the NFL to see us wipe out the Bills and pound them and show we are the real thing and don't take losing teams for created at all.

We've gained a little measure of respect. We lose that if we can't beat the 0-3 Rams on Sunday in Dallas.

Bet they thought the same thing last week when they were 0-2 and looking at 0-3.

I hate playing 0-3 teams. They play like 300 Spartans cause 0-4 pretty much kills the season. I still say we beat them even with their A game.
