Next 2 weeks are going to be huge IMO as far as were these teams stand in the division and the trajectory of these teams moving forward. Fans obviously have the luxury of looking forward at the schedule vs players who have to focus on the games at hand.

Week 8
LA at DAL and PHI at WSH
Week 9
DAL at PHI

Currently sitting at 4-2 with the Eagles at 6-1, what's a more likely scenario after 2 weeks?

My gut tells me Dal wins a tough game against LA and loses to Phi in their house, and Phi winning both games (although WSH does play them tough), thus putting the record at Phi (8-1) and Dal (5-3)

At best Dal (6-2) and Phi (6-3), At worst Phi (8-1) and Dal (4-4)

At best, the fanbase would be elated.
At worst, the fanbase would be devastated.

What say you?

I am just worried about this week right now and what Dallas does against the Rams. Plenty of time to worry about Philly the following week. If Dallas loses to the Rams then I think we are headed toward another meaningless season. They have had 2 weeks to prepare for the Rams so no excuses.

Yes. I did too. Eagles couldn't stop kupp in the first half. Eagles shut down the rams in the second half.

Dallas loses both games. Im just going by Eagles and Rams have better QBs. The one thing about Stafford though is the Cowboys defense loves a stationary target.

It’s important to keep in mind, quarterback Dak Prescott is averaging just 2.62 seconds on all drop backs. Per PFF, only nine passers have a lower time to throw this season, so he isn’t asking much of his offensive line.

Yet on passes delivered in under 2.5 seconds, Prescott is pressured the eighth most in the NFL, at a pressure rate of 7.1%.

https://cowboyswire.usatoday.com/2023/10/27/cowboys-struggles-offensive-line/

Opponent identification and attacking has to be overcome and execution improved, both in the offensive line and in the receiving group. That should occur.

Offering doom is not observing the actual path of this team...or why beyond whipping boy excuses.

I know this is a message board and we get to predict far into the future, but it's a week to week league. WAS usually plays the eagles well and could have beat them in philly. I think the 9'ers lose vs Cincy this weekend. We really just need to handle our business.

Did you watch the game? I did. It was close. If you want to debate that do it elsewhere
I watched the game too and have no idea how you can interpret it that way. The Rams never crossed midfield or gained even 30 yards in a drive in the second half. The Eagles had three 70-yard drives in the second half, and only a red-zone interception kept the score as close as it was.

Our games will come down to our trenches. If both our Oline and Dline show up and perform well against the Rams and Eagles, Cowboys will win both games.

I wish the first Philly game was at AT&T. We’ve been really good at home the past two seasons, and it would’ve given us an opportunity to get a win against them and build some confidence. However, we’re on the road at Philly in two weeks. Our chances are slim and none of beating them in Philly. If it’s a repeat of what San Francisco did was or anything close this season is doomed. We desperately need to beat a championship caliber team and the only championship caliber teams left on our schedule are Philly, Miami and Buffalo.
