Eagles, Commanders, Giant - I think Dallas should win 2-3 and still be in good shape. If they loss 2-3 then this division is up for grabs.

How I see it:

against Eagles. I think Dallas wins convincingly. Eagles offensive line has not worked well all year. Eagles defense is broke emotionally and physically. That was a devestating loss to Chicago and they have Minny next week - I wont be suprised if Peterson runs for over 150 yards.

against Commanders. Dallas is simply the better team. Washington has injuries to offensive line and their WR are inferior to Dallas. Washington defense will keep it close but eventually Marion Barber will prove to be too much.

against Giants. I think this is the game Dallas loses. The Giants defense is playing on another level right now. Dallas will struggle again with Giant receivers.

All makes sense, but I don't think its fair to predict another "convincing" win for the Cowboys.

Eagles - tough game for sure. However, if we come out with guns blazing, Romo should be able to smoke the Eagles' D, and D-Ware should have a field day. Honestly, if we cut the mistakes and play like we're on a mission, i think we'll have a win as convincing as Game 1 vs. the Eagles in 2005. HOwver, there's a lot of if's, and you really can't say that Dallas won't have a lot of mistakes.

Giants - this is tough to call. We should have Anthony Henry back, so no more Nate Jones. Tank Johnson will be in there, so Brandon Jacobs/Derrick Ward shouldn't gash us like they did before. Deal is, our offense won't burn them as much, and their offense won't burn us as much. Expect scores in the 20's. Winnable game, I'd put this as a toss-up.

Commanders - this is at Dallas, so I like Dallas' chances. Our D should be OK against the Commanders offense, and I think that Dallas will actually be able to move hte ball on the Commanders D. If Dallas cuts the mistakes here, this is a very winnable game.

Seriously, we have a chance to go 3-0, and if we do so, that'll all but seal the NFCE for us. After that game, we have the Jets, Packers, Lions, Eagles, Carolina and Washington. I like our chances against the Jets, Packers, Lions, Eagles, AND Carolina. IF we go 3-0 (and this is EXTREMELY premature), I think we have a very good shot at going 14-2.

We will beat the Giants. Giants haven't won a game after the bye and we play them after their bye. I predict we will win all three.

If we beat the Giants we can win out although games with Wash, Lions, Packers, and Carolina will be tough. Can't count the Eagle out either. We are not a dominant team right now despite the fact we can put up 35+ points a game and hang 50 on someone. We are just so inconsistent due to mistakes, turnovers, and troubling pass defense.

The Giants look like a better team right now. I know I'll catch heck for saying it but they are scary on D and plenty good on O. I think we will go up there a slight underdog in Vegas and probably the pundits as well. And I think we have a pretty good team.

I don't think their defense is any better than us. They just look better because they went against WAS, Eagles,NYJ,ATL, and SF. We didn't play anybody great except NE but compairing past five games, I think they played against bad teams as we did.

Amen. Everyone discounts what we've done against the bad offenses, but people (not Jobberone, but the national media) are gushing about the Giants even though they've faced Winston Justice, Joey Harrington, and Trent Dilfer.

of course they will be in "good shape" if they win 2 of 3 division games after starting 6-1. Geez, what a silly point to make. Also "2-3" : does that mean
"2 or 3" or '2 of 3"? I guess from the rest of your post it means "2 of 3."

Offensively: Romo performs much better on the road. As a unit, like any other team in the league, when you play your division magical weird stuff happens and the winner is decided by an unintentional face mask being called a personal foul, or the pro bowl punter getting it snapped over his head. You never know.

Defensively: We will get harassed all day. They know everything about our defense they play us twice every year. McNabb will get the deep ball. Campbell will get the deep ball. Eli will get the deep ball. Its there and if you keep trying you will get it and they know it and know who to pick on.

@Eagles: Win - Win coming off a bye. McNabb is right, the NFC East champion does come through philly...

@Washington: Win - They just got off through with the patriots and are excited to finally play the only team they care about beating... Their defense is very aggressive and physical. But Suisham finally winning one for Dallas.

Giants: Win - Everyone is saying the giants are so great the giants are so great, well we beat them once already. And when we beat them everyone was saying the giants suck so much the giants have no defense. So which one is it? We'll find out after this game.

If the Giants win next week and they should, for them to beat us, they would have to win seven in a row. That is highly unlikely.

I think they have played against the same level of competition as we have except the Pats. Maybe a little better but not a lot.

I think the Giants are playing at a different level defensively than we are. But teams generally have ups and downs. I think if Romo is healthy he can beat their pass rush. But it's going to be a lot like the game today except more of those quick passes and less time to be looking around back there.

It's important we don't fall behind or they will be very difficult to stop. Romo will be on game 18. If we get decent field position, avoid too many mistakes and turnovers, and play well this game is very much within reach.

They will have to have their A game as well. Eli can be spooked easier than Romo. Ware and Ellis can get to him.

It is just going to be a dog fight.

if you think we should beat the NYG on the road (very unlikely imho) then you should also argue the 'boys should finish 15-1 or 14-2 (13-3 at worst) barring injury or totally choking away games.

NYG is the only good team we play on the road the rest of the year and i'm not sure GB is even good (home or away)

that said i totally don't see DAL beating NYG at the meadowlands. plax & toomer should have 3 TDs combined, then there is any FB/RB/TE to expose Roy and Co 5-7 yards deep over and over. I see multiple turnovers for Tony (with his penchance to not protect the ball it's gonna bit us badly in NJ).

ymmv.

So you think the Giants can win seven in a row?

Remember last year basically the same team was 6-2 and then finished 2-6.

I have been saying this as well...I think right now the Giants, albeit slightly, are better than us. We have to get someone going on the other side of the ball to make the running game easier, the life of TO easier, the life of Romo easier, and ultimatley the life of the defense. We should not have to wait until Tony Romo has dropped back 40 times to run the ball. He is being asked to do to much right now.

I can't wait for those 3 games after the bye.
I didn't really enjoy the game last night i was just sitting there thinking just get the W and go into the bye and get ready for the NFCE games

Philly: we should win this one philly is not a good team this year i don't care what anyone says

NYG: this will be a good one hard to call so i'm not even going to try

Washington: I love these game throw records out the window for these something wierd is bound to happen it always does

At this time I think Dallas will be favored in each game. I think getting some players back will be a big help as well as the addition of Tank. Offense I think Dallas can put up points aginst any team out there.

It should be illegal for schedule makers to put any team against their division 3 weeks in a row. Talk about running the gauntlet.

We are the best of the bunch and will come out with at least 2 wins(3 WOULD BE AWESOME). The Eagles game will be their Super Bowl but they are not in our league this year...We already handled NY with no Newman, Ellis, or Ferg. Do you guys remember how much trouble we gave the Giants LBs and DBs? Our Oline did a great job in our 1st meeting as well. The Skins dont match up well with us on either side of the ball(They lucked out vs AZ). The NFC East is always tough even when the talent is lacking so anything can happen.
