Call me crazy, but if we switch to Cassel, Dez comes back by NYG or Seattle, and don't lose any big pieces, I think we go 3-1.

It's possible. The Giants aren't anything special. The 49ers are a terrible team. Yeah Eli is Eli but that SF team was one big play away from winning that game.

The Seahawks have a great defense, but Wilson is getting killed this season. He's getting hit about 1/3 of the time he drops back. He's doing a good job of not forcing anything, but Wilson may not even make it to our game, and if he does our pass rush is going to hit him often.

The Eagles are the Eagles and Bradford is gun shy already. They're going to have a hard time moving the ball.

I just hope that Cassel comes in with the mindset to win. Weeden had the mindset not to lose and he's just extremely limited. If we can get past the Giants I actually think we match up well the rest of the games.

Doubt it. I know it is the thing to do to blame Weeden for everything, but it is not that simple. At all.

I m not blaming Weedon for everything, but he has a part just as Randle, Mcfadden, williams, street, escobar, sometimes the OL, the defense and the coaching staff. but in order to start correcting the issues you have to start cassel along with c mike, we will start winning and those nest 4/5 games without Romo we will win

Call me cautious but winning against NY isn't a given. If not for a bonehead play by Golly Gee Whiz we would have lost the game and be sitting at 1-4.

no we would not have lost that game, I do not know why people want to discredit our victory over the gints like that, but they were not going to win that game

If Manning just takes the sack, the clock ticks down to like 30 seconds..............no way we could have gone the length of the field in that short of a time period and with no timeouts.

But it doesn't matter at this point..............what does matter is beating the Giants again.

you must have, I know what game I was watching, with this new york family constantly getting up taking pictures and my own family members rooting for the giants, wearing OJ's jersey, since he plays for the giants that is the only time they root against the Cowboys. Yep we won and no matter what we were going to win anyway

Get 2 of the 4 games and we will be fine. Romo will win out the season and we will make the playoffs.

After 5 games we stand at 2-3. Our BYE couldn't have come at a better time for us.

We're now 0-3 without Romo and we have 4 games left. Our opponents are @NYG, SEA, PHI and @TB.

Before I breakdown each opponent there have been multiple variances that has led to our 3 game losing streak. IMO if Hardy and McClain are in the entire season we're at 4-1 today. Reality is, we're not. The pieces that arrived yesterday would've paid huge dividends vs ATL and NO and will pay off in our next four games.

Our offense will need to make some changes and I feel our FO will use the BYE week to prep Cassell to come in and take over. Trading for him was a sign that they had some reservations about Weeden who didn't see much preseason action due to a concussion.

Not that it is entirely Weeden's fault, but the team needs a fresh start moving forward.

@NYG:
We shut their offense down in week one without Hardy and McClain. With their added presence I expect a close game we can win.

Vs SEA:
Their offense is as vanilla as Philly's and we shut that down in their house last season as well. With the speed we have coming off the edges it'll help get Wilson closer to his 70 sack season pace. Their DT Jordan Hill will miss several weeks with an injury and Wagner will be nursing a strained pec. I would use Michael heavily in this game since he'd be playing with a chip and has the style we don't see in DM or Randle.

Vs PHI:
If anyone wants to see the blueprint in stopping Philly go see Marinelli. We have that offense pegged and with Hardy, McClain and Gregory back in the saddle it's going to be a long day for Bradford and we can win this one in a 19-16 type score since Philly has a real good defense.

@TB:
This is the most winnable game we have on our schedule and the final game prior to Romo's return. I would expect Dez back and in his return he will draw the attention away from everyone else.

I would love to see a 3-1 run and if that happens we sit at 5-4 with games vs Miami and Carolina to end November. The only challenge is I believe Seattle and Philly will both have BYEs coming into our matchup.

This can happen and until the season is done, I'm still believing in this team.

I see wins vs Philly and TB and losses to NYG and Seahawks. That game vs the Giants is HUGE. But I dont think we can really complain if we are sitting at 4-5 when Romo comes back

2-2 gets us to 4-5
then if we go 5-2 with Romo et al, that might do it if most the wins are vs NFCE.
Otherwise, it might take 6-1.

It all starts with somehow getting a win in NY

Cpt Homer..............I like that signature. Basically from your analysis, it has to be the defense that wins all these games for us. I have to agree. Unless Cassel and Michaels can give some kind of spark. I simply dont know how this team is going to score points. We should have lost to NYG and that was with Romo. And NY is a lot better than they were in that game. 3 game winning streak and on fire. If this defense doesn't start creating turnovers and points, we will be toast. How are we going to score on Seattle? Tampa Bay is the ONLY game in there that we can say we should win at this point.

We should feel VERY fortunate to be 2-2 in that stretch. I say we lose to Giants, lose to Seattle, Philly is 50/50 and we beat Tampa. ON my most HOMER day, I would say 2-2 would be my prediction.

That would leave us at 4-5 with 7 games remaining if Romo comes back on time. We would have to go 6-1 in the last 7 games and be at 10-6 most likely to win the division. Its definitely possible. But Romo has to come back on time, we have to go 2-2, then 6-1. Tough task. And that is assuming no more big injuries.

Seattle is winnable. Their offense hasn't scored over 19 points in a game this season.

I dont understand how anybody could be a Packer fan and a Cowboys fan. They are literally polar opposites of each other in every way. I have a special hate for the Packers in my heart but its because I live in Wisconsin and have to deal with Packer fans

Keep in mind we gave NY any life they had in wk 1. We gave them gift after gift and they still couldn't win. Our defense with Hardy and McClain will beef up what we had vs wk 1. In that game our defense actually held their offense in check. NY can be had. Seattle isn't scoring alot of points and I would say they would be our toughest opponent due to their defense. Philly will be tight as well due to their strong defense.
