He has to scheme this offense out of its funk. While the running game needs to be more of a staple Thursday night, that wont be enough. Being very stingy against the run, the Saints will keep the Cowboys to around 3 YPC.

Need a quick hitting, complimentary passing game Thursday night. Keep the LBs and DBs on their heels a bit with a big dose of short passing plays deigned for YAC.

Yep. Long drop backs in the pocket are probably not going to work!

No on all counts.

Moore needs his weapons back and he needs his line to block. Thats all he needs.

Running game only becomes a staple if its effective. Which it hasn't been for 5 weeks.

He had every freaking opportunity to call those the last two games,,, and Dak too for that matter at the line of scrimmage. I'm shocked at these struggles, especially with an offensive guru head coach that has "been there done that". The OL coach seems to be on vacation too...

I disagree. Need balance against the Saints and get them to respect the run. There will be no time to sit in the pocket and wait for routes to develop.

Ref the bold: Sure. But it won't make a bit of difference if Dak has trouble connecting with the receivers again. He can't wait until the 4th quarter to get going like he did last week.

They have got to hit the ground running from the very first series or its going to be another long, disappointing game.
I think Dak has a bounce back game this week. He needs to get the ball out quick and take the first read when open

I really believe the OL changes are the reason for the drop in offensive production. Continuity matters with that unit. It's like Jerry is calling the shots.

That never works , unless you have a monstrous OL which blocks everybody and everything. With our OL growing pains we need a good run game ( not out of shotgun) and quick hitting pass game to setup some long shots.

Where have you been since the start of the season?
All we do is throw short passing plays till we drop.
We and Mr.Prescott are the check-down Kings of the NFL!
Yes, they know(Moore) better than anyone his drawbacks as a QB and the game plan reflects this in a major way.
Most boring Cowboy offense EVER!!!!
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
P.S. Just pray we have a running game or we might just score FG all night long....

We are losing because we are missing key players. If you think KM will overcome that with the right scheme then I think you are just grasping at straws to blame KM for another loss.

actually its team game win lose or draw we need the team to show up..

i do agree we need balance and no matter what the saints do top stifle the run KM needs to stay with it..wear down the DL..

I think calling to get the ball out quick to players in space is the way to go.
But I have seen those horrid quick screen/behind the LOS passes net nothing positive or mostly negative yardage when called many times this year.

So maybe something a little different than those.

They know....they watch tape....only a matter of time when one of those is returned for a pick 6....

Old school thinking. Run the ball even if it doesn’t work? Our line is clearly not a power running unit so we need to throw the ball to get guys off the LOS.

Then again we could always bring Garrett back and run the ball for the sake of running it. :banghead:

I agree but he’s the 2nd most important factor imo.

Oline is far and away our biggest key to success.

Dallas has to re-establish themselves as a running team and build off that.

Our offense sadly has to be a balanced offense. Get away from relying on the passing game.

Most of us are still waiting for the bounce back from last week..... very troubling

Next DOG TEAM, he will be bouncing back asap.......key word here....DOG!
Saints or Giants might do him the favor....

We can’t win with new school. Our QB isn’t that guy. We need balance.

Also, it doesn’t have to be predictable. The entire point of being a good playcaller is to catch the defense overplaying something.

Kellen Moore in week 1 lined up and showed everyone run and kept play actioning and it worked.

Dallas needs to get Pollard and Zeke involved in the pass game as well as get Schultz going on some roll out.

We can get our RBs in space without going full 1960 or modern day Garrett.

Need our Wrs to win off the break. Been a big issue the last couple of games. If your line is not going to give the QB time, then he needs to hit the quick outs, slants, & screens. Too often our wide out are jammed and thrown off their break which leads to poor separation and timing for the quick passes.

Should improve with Lamb and, maybe, Cooper back.
