Next head coach must come from Parcells coaching tree

I want a details guy. Someone who considers the little things to be important. Someone who isn't the players friend and someone who can reset the franchise. Someone who can make bold calls and criticise any of the 53 if it is required.

Coaches from the Parcells tree understand all of the above and that is what we need. Whether we get it I'm not so sure

Majority of them retired (or passed), head coaches of other teams, or didn’t pan out as head coaches when they were.

So who would you want?

Payton or Flores would be top of the list

Flores is from the bb tree. Which had just as many failures than Parcells.

Peyton is everyone’s dream but the odds of him leaving the Saints to go elsewhere are slim and with TV gigs being paid just as much or more than coaches, he may retire.

Belichick is from the Parcells coaching tree, that is my point

Flores wasn't a failure

If JJ was going to fire MM…. He would have done it immediately. Stephen has already come out and voiced support.

We get at least one more year of Big Mac— as brutal as it is. Talking about a HC right now— while it is needed— is an exercise in futility because it is not happening this year.

Why does it have to be the Parcells tree? Why not someone like Flores from the Belichick tree or someone from the Reid tree?

I would love to have Sean Payton, but it is far past time for Jerry to do some outside the box thinking.

Maybe Dallas needs a HC the players respect and admire. I think Dieon Sanders would do a better job of motivating and talking to these guys than MM. We got people that can do the x's and o's. We need someone that can walk into that locker room and command the respect of the players.

Deion would be an interesting choice. He's done well with Jackson State.

I think the point is that in the NFL the main role of the HC is to lead and inspire. Most HCs have delegated the scheming and game planning. I hate to use Barry Switzer as an example but it worked. Switzer is/was a great public speaker who commanded respect. During his tenure, the players took more responsibility for their own success and he was able to motivate them.

Heck, bring in Tony Robbins and put a whistle around his neck. lol

Well exactly, and the players under Deion seem to want to run head first into a brick wall for him. That's what we need.

Well Belichick isn’t leaving NE and Tom Coughlin isn’t going to coach anymore. Parcels either.

Where you going to find anyone from the Parcells coaching tree?

Payton isn’t coming anytime soon. I guess you can call Zimmer up (originally a Jerry guy who coached in our Parcells years) but McCarthy’s resume is far more accomplished and he’s here 1 more year at least.

McCarthy isn’t this mismanaged coach. 21 of the 53 man roster are UFA’s this off-season. This will be his 3rd draft and probably 3rd DC and hopefully 2nd OC in 3 years.

They’ll also be able to draft a player or 2 for their offensive line to develop. Maybe get 1 in FA.

More Garrett players leaving the starting lineup on both sides of the ball.

The division will be a bit tougher next season but we’ll have a similar record, be better playing at home and outside our division hopefully and cleaning up the penalties should help in that regard.
