You are undervaluing his total contribution and the primary reason he was drafted.

Brevyn Spann Ford is a better run blocker than Schoonmaker and he was undrafted.

You don’t draft blocking tight ends in the second round. The cowboys reached on him big time.

Thats not true - they DID need a TE back then. That was the offseason that Schultz left as a FA. 2023 is when Ferguson stepped up and took the position. Nobody knew he was going to do what he did at the time of that Draft.
You are right and that turned out to be a terrible pick. Yet another wasted 2nd Round Pick.

Yes we did. Fergie had already shown himself to be more than competent. It was talked about a ton here on the boards.

It didn't turn out that way, it was terrible from the start.

Definitely 2nd-round TE busts. Bennett wasn't a bust in the league but he was a wasted pick here.
