I was just looking at the first three teams Detroit played (Tampa Bay, Kansas City, and Minnesota) and all three seam to be ranked towards the bottom of the league.

Was this just the perfect storm for them to start the season? The only decent team of the three (Minnesota) barely lost in OT.

It doesn't seem that they have faced a defense like ours yet.

Are these guys for real, or does there record not tell the whole story?

:lions:

Just looked at Detriots numbers.... They rushed for 20yds last week against Minnesota. They were throwing to Calvin and Pettigrew 75% of the time.

They better hope both tackles can withstand the onslaught of D-Ware, Ratliff, Spencer, Butler and Hatcher. (if he's healthy enough to play)...

Im interested to see how Stafford plays. Looking at the stats through 3 games, he is having a brilliant start to the season. Hopefully the Cowboys can put some pressure on the guy and he will make some mistakes.

Their wins at Tampa and Minnesota are pretty impressive.. Tampa is a playoff contender.

If we're gonna win, it'll be because of the pass rush.. that's the only way you can shut down their O, because no one can guard Calvin Johnson 1 on 1.

It wouldn't be the first time we played the role of the spoiler. That said, we need to come out healthy against them. I even hope Scandrick is out there next week in addition to Miles and a healthier Bryant.

I agree, however I fully don't expect to see Miles until the New England game.

Detroit is a team i kinda like because of how bad they've been for so long, i like the underdog turn around. Obviously I want them to lose next week but Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson can't help it that the schedule was against three losers to date, they took care of business and I expect them to be an item in many pro bowls to come.

If you think Costa and Nagy had problems today just wait until Suh is on the other side :bang2:

You can also say that we haven't faced a good QB and elite WR like theirs nor a DL that can dominate like their.

They match up against us. Strong DL against our weak OL. WR against our DBs.....

This will be a test for sure.

Dallas is playing roulette with a wounded roster this is true, how ironic that it should've handily beat hte best team on it's schedule so far while they were healthy.

I admit to kinda liking them as well. I certainly want them to get crushed next week, but my father in-law is a Detroit fan, and to see what he has gone through for this long. Makes even this awful drought we have had of late seem not so bad.

So, props to the Lions for what they have accomplished so far, but I hope we take it to them next week. I want a game where we demolish the opponent. So many close games this year and even last. I want a game where it all comes together and we ride rough shaw all over them.

yeah, we do alot better as a 'spoiler' team. Detroit always seems to beat Dallas when we are ''the better team'' at the time.

Steve Young was saying Grossman would end up in the top 10 among QBs this year... :lmao:

This is the type of game the Cowboys win. People have been lamenting facing Detroit ever since the schedule came out. I wouldn't be surprised if the Cowboys show up sharp and put together a solid win. That's just how Dallas does things.

I’m from Detroit… A Big Fan of the Lions and Cowboys! Detroit is young and talented. They’re probably have the best defensive line in the league. The secondary is shaky but have a good line-backing core in Tulloch & Durant.

Stafford has arm like we have never seen here. Awesome talent if the offensive line can just protect him. Backus & Cherolis suck big time. They cant run or pass block for the life of them. Calvin Johnson is the man, a marquee talent. I don’t know if you got a corner that can cover him? He catches balls that defenders can defend against. Our receiving core and TE is pretty damn good.

KC was a playoff team last year. TB was knocked out of theplayoffs by us. 2 playoff caliber teams are not considered rollovers by anymeans. Look at Buffalo they blew out KC. And Buffalo rolls a win against NE on Sunday. Detroit has finally got young talent with a great coaching staff. We are on the up & up for sure. This game will be settled by the quarterbacks no doubt about it. Romo is going to be hit hard and plenty Sunday. Hopefully he doesn’t get anymore hurt. Same thing with Stafford, we need to block Ware andthat D-line.

May the best team win.....

I LOVE me some Lions as I live in Michigan and your post was accurate- Anyway, the Cowboys are my team through thick and thin but this is like watching 2 of your sons play......I will root for the Cowboys in the end. But Detroit will win. They are young, hungry and RUGGED. They might sack Romo 6 times this Sunday: their dline is the best in the league and Dallas' oline is a disaster currently. I'm worried for Tony's health: seriously.

As for Stafford and Calvin(Megatron) this might be their national coming out party, especially if Newman can't play....no one can cover Calvin: he's right there with Johnson of the Texans as the best WR in the game

I live in Michigan so I see and hear all about the Lions, sure they are improving and I believe they could win Sunday.
I really hope they don't, I can't stand thier fans, all of the water cooler fans are out big time, heck even 101.3(the fox) radio station is firing the fans up.
I don't remember the last time the Lions fans have had anything to cheer about, I can't stand it this year. Lions are a good defensive team, but they are a Stafford injury away from being losers again. That is just my thought.

How you can have two favorite teams is beyond me. I expect Detroit to be brought back down to Earth come Sunday. But of course I'm a true blue Cowboys fan.
