Next week, I make my mind up about this team. How about you?

After a terrible loss like the Seattle game, any team with some heart and talent is going to come out on fire against Arizona. It's going to look like the Philly game. Arizona is better now that Warner isn't starting but it's not one of the top teams in the league, and the Cowboys match up fairly well against them. If the Cowboys are going to prove that they can close games out, that their young players can pick this game up quickly, that Bledsoe isn't washed up, that they can can still win with big injuries... next week is the time to prove it. If the Cowboys lose next week, or maybe barely squeeze out an ugly win, I don't think they have a chance in hell of winning the NFC East or reaching the Playoffs. It's time to separate the contenders from the pretenders. If the Cowboys close the first half of the season with a 5-3 record, I think they're on the expected track, and maybe even performing a little better than expected.

I've already made up my mind about this team. We can play with any team in the league and play them close. Of course we will lose because of our stupid coaching decisions and idiotic play calling but the team itself can play with anyone.

I hope to God Dallas wins this game and we're 5-3 going into the bye week. Though the season won't be over if we lose, losing takes a toll regardless if you have talent enough to win. Confidence is a big factor is games. Just ask Jimmy Johnson.

But, I'm willing to be patient with BP and take his words that the season is determined in November and December. So, we'll see how it goes after the bye week. If we come out dominating our first two games after the bye week, I'll say we're back on track.

If not, then it's a matter of wasted potential.

That fact is Jack that we're still not good enough at several positions and those players aren't executing properly. I think that is more of a problem than the coaching at this point.

This train wreck was not going to be fixed in one season.

I think we are a young team learning to play. Yes, we can play with any team. Something we could not do last year.

However, I am waiting another 3 games to officially decide if we are a true 'quality' playoff team.

To do this, we should win the Arizona and Detroit games at home. And at least play the Eagles tough on the road on a Monday night. May not win, but lets play it tough and close. But I do feel pretty good that we can go there and win.

If we do this, then I'll say we are a playoff team that can win and not just be there for 1 and out.

Also I think a follow up win on Dead Bird Day against the Broncos would really make the naysayers (ESPN-Berman & Co.) change their minds once and for all.

If the Cowboys had been lucky with the injury bug, I think they could have made some good progress this year. But then again, how often do teams get by without major injuries? It's all part of the game I guess.

Injuries are starting to take a toll on the Cowboys.

I think the injury to Crayton was the biggest so far, at least for one game.

I think Price will start to gel with the team in the next Philly game,.

But we have to win our next game and head to the break at 5-3, which is right on schedule. IMO
