Zimmer and Vikes should be very familiar with our offense. It is very similar to their own, terminology should be exactly the same. The difference will be in the play calling.

Don't set yourself up for disappointment. The current Cowboys coaching staffs goal for preseason games isn't to win them. In fact that's far down the list of importance. Their goal is to get the vets ready for opening day and evaluate the rookies and backups. As far as getting the vets ready I wouldn't be surprised if they don't play more than a quarter. Agree with it or not they'd rather go into the first game healthy albeit a little bit rusty than go into the first game with a boat load of injuries some possible severe.

Usually they would play the first half and a bit into the 3rd quarter, to get the timing and adjustments in sync.
But yes this year may only play a quarter and part of the 2nd quarter. Get them out healthy.

We haven't had the starting oline play together so that's going to be interesting
Also may gets some answers on the roster
I know people keep thinking we are trading for a OT or QB or RB
But I don't think any of those things are happening
I am interested in seeing if swain can force a trade or 4th TE
Want to see more of showers because I think keeping him is getting to be a realistic option. Don't think we keep 4 qb's but I think the fact he can contribute on special teams and not playing bad for his first camp has to have the staff considering keeping him as the 3rd QB
Let's face it, if we get to the 3rd QB our season is over anyway and then they would bring in another vet

I have my doubts. The Cowboys seem intent to hold out anyone with a hang nail. With Zimmer coming to town I expect them to try much harder to win. We will be playing to limit injuries. Seems to be the new Cowboy way with Garrett. We're up to 7 loses in a row in preseason now? I read today we currently have the leagues longest losing streak in preseason games.

3rd game is generally getting the vets ready to play for a qtr or two. Then look at the targeted new guys and bubble players. Vaughn and Showers get good looks. Starting to think Showers and Vaughn have a chance with Vaughn the #2.

Romo plays probably 2 series if they go well, 3 at the most.

Probably Dez and the starting OL the same.

Sean Lee will be in there for a bit.
