does it matter who wins the Carolina / Arizona game?

i know we are going to stomp Detroit.

are we going to play Green Bay?

3 seed will only be able to visit the 2 seed no matter what.

thank you.

The upstart Cowboys dismantle the Packers on the frozen tundra .....

John Facenda over images of the Packers-- "Lombardi - the mere mention of the name speaks of duels in the snow and cold November might..."

Over images of the Cowboys-- "The Cowboys are America's Team..."

Gives me chills with the music.

It doesn't matter who faces the boys. Regardless of opponent there will be some linebacker crapping himself as Martin bears down on him and says "get out of my way" springing Murray for a big run. woohoo !! Go boys !! I'm all in.

thank you.

Yes sir !! Happy new year lane !! And happy new year to everyone on cowboyszone !!

Path is set, Detroit, GB, Seattle...unless Arizona or Carolina can pull a huge upset.

the only thing about the path is that IF AZ/Car pull the upset in Seattle, and we win in GB, we get a home game for the NFCG....that is too far ahead to imagine at the moment. and, before people throw in "we aren't as good at home"...remember the 4 losses were when Tony was rusty (SF), injured (Wash), Out (Weeden-AZ), and Philly (short rest).....gimme a healthy Tony at home any day...

thank you.

Music to my ears :clap::clap:

I would prefer Carolina to win that game because Seattle has already owned AZ twice this year, they have proven they don't have what it takes.
Carolina could possibly be a bad matchup for Seattle if their defense shows up. I would love to see Carolina beat them and then the championship game here in Dallas vs Carolina. Of course assuming we beat Detroit and GB.

IF we defeat the Lions, we play GB IN GB next week.
IF the Seahawks defeat the Panthers/Cardinals, ( & we defeat Lions/Packers ) we'd play the NFC Championship game IN Seattle.
IF either the Panthers or Cardinals defeated the Seahawks ( & we defeat Lions/Packers ). we HOST the NFC Championship game against either Panthers or Cardinals.
All caught up?
Good.
:)

Three possible paths, in order of likelihood:
DET, @GB, @SEA
DET, @GB, CAR
DET, @GB, ARI

I hope so. If we don't then we have been eliminated. That's my take on the proceedings.

NFL Films would hire Facenda to come in and do those voice-overs all day long. Sabol would make frequent trips to the local package store, and as the day wore on, Facenda's narration got noticeably more emphatic, but slower with dramatic pauses. Although he was off-camera, on many of the takes that got used, Facenda was fairly well-lit.

No, the winner of the Cowboys-Lions game determines who plays where. Dallas as the 3 seed will play Green Bay. If the Lions won (which they won't) they would play Seattle because they are a lower seed than AZ or Carolina.

Seattle 1
Green Bay 2
Dallas 3
Detroit 6
AZ 5
Carolina 4
