From the art deco confines of the 50,000-watt confluence of truth, justice and the Armenian Way of Life, Air Cowboys America in Farmers Branch where low property values mean bargains for yew!
Next up: Lou's City Farmers Almanac and Kitty's koffee Klatch.

:starspin :starspin :starspin :starspin :starspin

Mens, lesser Zoners, recent parolees and solid Americans:

As all of yew know, we need help, mens. We need helps in the O-line that at times without Colomibo has looked like a disorganized bunch of fat mens.

Newman is running out of gas. He looks awful at times and then good.

Folk has been a joke. I am just sorry that McBriar had to be a victim. McB was not the problem, Folk was and he was not man enough to blame himself and found a compliant McBriar ready to take the blame. And that's too bad that McBriar had to be a faIl guy for a god-awful kicker.

Rail, rail! Against the dyling of the light of the Cowboys because we lack these three components! Free agency would be best but if not then the draft. But keep in mind, if we go to the draft for immediate help, it will take very high draft picks, so FA is best.

With these three components we are Super Bowl material. Without these we are also-rans who struggle to compete with the GiANTS and the Eagles.
We can suck and then we can be brilliant like last Sunday.
Inconsistency because we hit road bumps with these three areas.

Get these three components and a new coach with a backbone and we is Super Bowl material! Yes, Super Bowl material! Jerra, are you listening?

In your dark hearts you know ah am right!
Discuss in your peculiar ways, mens.

FA is not the way to go. You pay way to much for players who are typically older, fat and happy with big contract, and not hungry any more....

The best teams are young and hungry. So the draft is the real way to build a championship team. The years that Dallas was the worst historically was when we had too many players over 30 on the team -- more than 14 has historically been very very bad. We currently have 10.

We need youth, energy, and drive....get younger on the OL and we get better, period. Free is a good start, now just four more to go...

Depends on the position, depends on the market, depends on who's available.

3/4th out of the Cowboys starting O-line has come from free agency ( RT-Columbo, RG - BIGGs, LG - Kozier ).

Free agency is a great place to find young guards ( 24, 25, 26, 27 years old range ) who are talented but simply did not fit in some systems. It's also a very good place to find temporary young safeties, who can fill a need for 2 or 3 years.

This upcoming year, if it remains uncapped, might be a bonanza of talented players who have been cut because they were overpaid. The Cowboys might cut one of those ( Marion Barber ). I fully expect teams to use the uncapped year ( if it happens ) to dump bloated contracts and some of those players are still very talented and could be had for the right price.

IMO, if the uncapped year happens, it's going to be a buyer's market.

One thing you guys are forgetting about is the restrictions put in place for playoff teams. If we end up finally winning a playoff game this year, we will be restricted in free agency.

It is a loophole the owners put in place for the uncapped year so a team already loaded, like the Colts, could not go out and buy up the best free agents in an attempt to "buy a championsip". Most of the free agent movement will be to teams that did not make the playoffs.

I didn't forget about that. I wasn't talking about free agents who's contracts have expired and might be restricted in some ways.

I was referring more to players who became FA because their respective teams cut or " waived " them.

We won't go after a 'marquis' FG kicker.
Jerry has said since the Vanderjack signing he will never do it again.
Folk was, at this point, a wasted mid round pick. We won't fraft another one.

Folk in his first two years was a marquis kicker. He made the big kicks. This year he has not. There are little guarantees with kickers. The best established guys will not be available, so it is not as if Dallas could get a named marquis kicker. I could see Folk joining Dallas in training camp and winning back his job.

one thing I hate is the trashing of players who have played very well to great for us and have never been locker room problems. They deserve more respect then this thread has given them. So they fell off and have problems. I will never hate on them because unlike some here I remember the great plays and games they had. Time to move on, OK. But to call them waste and garbage and the like only shows that poster to be the real garbage.

We love you man. You have paid your debt to society and I trust you will meet all parole requirements. In no time you will be free of court supervision just like decent folk.
Before you visit your PO, drink lots of water and show him yer time cards for community service.
If late to yer PO meeting, just phone in and say you stopped to help an old lady fix her tire on her semitrailer or sumptin creative, man.

The bastidge doesn't think that sleeping with fat, ugly women qualifies as community service... can you BELIEVE that??

I figure nobody else is gonna give 'em any, and fat, ugly women need love too...

Oh, I just told him that my dealer overslept...

I appreciate the sound advice... I just hope he doesn't find out I'm hangin' out with the sociopaths in here; then I WILL be in big trouble... and I'm simply too cute to go back to jail...

Boo hoo, our team sucks we need help everywhere, we need to be perfect like every other team, if we could only be as great as the Bengals.

You know where we need help, the coaches and until people and fans understand that, the team, no matter how perfect you think it is, wont be. This team is doing well despite that people want Wade gone, but again, hes not the only coach on the team.

ILB.

We need ILB with more speed and ball skills. Let's face it. When was the last INT by one of our ILBs???

We can always use another CB but I actually think our secondary would be ok.

OL, ILB, DL, S, CB.
