We have pretty much hashed and rehashed this year's draft class to death so let's move on for a sec. I would be interested to know zoners early impressions of qb's that may be available in 2015. Winston(should he declare which currently he says he won't but I don't buy), Mariota and Hundley are obviously the headliners. Bryce Petty probably just behind. What are your thoughts on these guys and others such as Sean Manion, Braxton Miller etc?

I think at this point this projected class is weaker than this years but with a season to play guys can still make great strides.

I would rather re-hash the draft class from this year since we know who will be on the team (at least in camp)...we have no idea where we will pick, what are needs will be, and which QB's are within the range of where we pick...

I hope we give Petty serious consideration.

Just going by the top three at this early stage, sure, next year's class is as good as or better than this year's group.
In no particular order....

Marcus Mariota
Jameis Winston,
Brett Hundley

Brice Petty and a bunch of others (Shane Carden, etc) should be good too.

I can say at this point that I don't care for the seafood thief. Fans that were worried about Manziel's off field problems should really hate Winston.

Sure, but Winston does have the more desired size and arm strength than Manziel. Maybe some other team can draft him and let the others guys fall to Dallas.

His throwing motion is a little unconventional but I like Taylor Kelly from ASU.
Chuckie Keeton from Utah State has to come back healthy but he's also interesting.
And not sure if he's going to come out early but Connor Cook from Michigan St has a really nice arm

Any of you Pac 12 fans know much about Conner Halliday?

So going into next year, who do we think will be looking for a 1st round QB.

NFC

AZ - Carson is 34
STL - if Bradford bombs out
Tampa - if Glennon isn't the answer
Dallas - Romo will be 35
NYG - if don't think Nassib is the replacement for Eli

AFC

San Diego - is it time to start looking for RIvers replacment
Denver - is Brockwier the answer after Peyton
KC - even though they took Murray, value may be to good to pass up
Tenn - top choice in my opinion to be looking for a QB

Out of them I would list them in order of drafting a QB in 2015.
Tenn
AZ
ST Louis
Tampa
Dallas

AZ just took Logan Thomas and I think that they actually expect him to be their QB of the future with a couple years of development behind Palmer (even though he won't be).

I think Bradford ends up having his best year yet, but if not STL will likely be going QB with their top pick.

Tampa almost certainly will draft a QB next year, as will Tennessee.

Giants and San Diego may draft a QB but I don't know if it will be 1st round. I think 2nd-3rd is more realistic for them.

I don't see KC drafting another QB with Murray and last year's signing of Tyler Bray as viable options.

A lot will depend on Romo's health this season. If he plays the whole year, I could see Dallas waiting another year. But we should (I think we ultimately will) be going QB at some point in next year's draft. Hopefully Hundley or Petty.

If Romo proves he's healthy and lasts all season and we do decide to wait 2 more years to draft his heir-apparent, my top choice would be Christian Hackenberg out of PSU (assuming he comes out as a Jr, that is). Kis was really impressive as a true Freshman this season. And his 6'4" 225 lb frame w/ a big arm is what you look for in a QB.

Dallas will not be looking at QBs next year unless Romo is done due to injury. They are sold on him until he retires and appear sold on Weeden as his backup for several years. They are not going to spend the asset on a QB while Romo is still playing. When he is done, they will look that year with the thought of playing the rookie.

I'm going all in to get Mariota next year. I think this kid is going to be the real deal. Too bad we didn't manage to land an extra first next year, cause I think that might be the only way to get him.

That was the comment on Bridgewater last year.
