Was looking at the league standings today and noticed a few things:

1) the NFC East is tied with the AFC South for the most combined victories (17)

2) The NFC East is the ONLY division where all 4 teams have scored more pts than they have allowed

3) The NFC West (9 wins) and AFC East (10) are the two worst cumulative divisions...New England and Seattle are also the only teams in their divisions that have scored more than they have allowed

4) 6 teams (New England, Carolina, Dallas, Indy, Jacksonville and Green Bay) are undefeated on the road...Pats and Panthers are both 4-0, Dallas and Indy 3-0, Jax and GB 2-0

5) Cleveland is currently 3-3 (tied with 2 others at 3-3) and 14 teams have worse records...looking at their remaining schedule, looks like 6-10 at worst, but most likely 7-9 or 8-8 to me

I think the Patsies have scored more points than EVERYONE in their divsion combined! And they say the NFC is weak!

It really is quite incredible in a league driven by parity that 3 out of 4 teams are well, and I mean well, below average. I was listening to Colin earlier and he was talking about the importance of the draft. He said that between 1998 and 2003 the Miami Dolphins had drafted 59 players and NONE were still on the roster. If true that is hard to believe.

Wow, sounds like some of our previous drafts.

The AFC West is really weak as well. The AFC Central is slightly above average. The AFC South is really, really good.

In the NFC, the west is pathetic and the south isn't much better. The central is decent, and the east is really good.

I agree. I think the Chargers are going to make a run, but eveybody else is average or bad.

Worst for who, or is it whom? Best for 'Boys backers.
