This game will go a long way in determining who will win the NFC East. Since the NFC East appears to be the best conference in the NFC, and since the Cowboys and Giants have the 1st and 3rd best record in the conference, it's likely that the winner of the NFC East will get homefield advantage in the playoffs.

The 2nd place team will likely get the wildcard. Check out the difference in the road to the superbowl for the two slots:

Winner of NFC East and homefield advantage:

Bye, Divisional game at home, Conference championship at home

Second place in NFC East:

Road game vs. Division winner, Road game vs. #2 or #1 seed, (Likely) Road game vs. #1 or #2 seed

Needless to say that the Road to the super bowl will be orders of magnitude easier if we can get a win tomorrow.

It's true that we may still have the tie-breaker if we don't win tomorrow. However, a loss would mean that a Packers win would put them first in the conference (meaning they'd have the advantage for homefield).

We play really well on the road. We could probably pull something like that off. The first round bye though...that's just too good to give up.

If we lose tomorrow then they will be in 1st place due to a better record in the divison. But when the cowboys whup the skins the following week then they would drop to 2nd again due to 2 losses in the conference.

The next 4 weeks are critical. I see us having no trouble against NYJ at home on Thanksgiving. But the Giants and Packers games are Must Wins. Elite teams win these games and put a chokehold on the division/conference.

If we win tomorrow, we have a 3 game lead against the Giants (two games in the standings + tiebreaker b/c we sweep). The Skins game, is big since it is a division game but if we lose, it won't kill us. The Packers game could be for homefield advantage throughout the entire playoffs.

If we go 3-1 during this stretch while beating NYG, NYJ, and GB, we will have a two game lead on the Giants (1 in the standings, and tiebreaker), and one game over the Pack (tiebreaker) even if they go 3-1 in that stretch with their only losses to us.

Thats huge. We must win these upcoming games. Because heading into December, I want somewhat of a cushion and knowing we could have the #1 seed wrapped up possibly in week 16 if the other teams lose some additional games.
