Directv.com has an advertisement for Sunday Ticket, pretty cool that they chose the NFC east for it. I guess the NFC east is in fact one of the better divisions in football

By far. The NFC East includes the 1st, 4th, 5th and 9th largest television markets in the United States. All told, that's 13.3% of the United States total population, based solely on the markets the teams play in.

Of course Dallas's huge appeal and disdain draws in viewers from the entire U.S. giving the East a huge boost in ratings and individual viewership.

I called and told them I want to cancel my entire service. Then they asked me why?

My reason was the Superfan is a rip off. I pay for HD box and dish and then you charge me extra for HD games, that networks show for free? Then I said the only reason I have Directv is because of football and if you are going to treat a good customer this way I will walk.

She said that Superfan offers more than just HD and I told her I can get stats online for free as well. She gave in and gave it to me for free.

You must complain, and complain well. The art of complaining has been lost over the last 10 to 15 years. People gladly accept subpar service and pay full price these days. Hence, customer service reps are taken aback when people do complain. It is as if you're from another planet...they almost don't know how to respond to you.

I complained so bitterly that I got Sunday Ticket with Superfan free this year. The Customer Service Rep for DirecTV was stuttering on the phone.

Complaining is a lost art. It must be mastered.

Can we all just agree to shun this guy, put him on ignore and not comment on anything he posts when he feels like he needs some extra negative attention?

You guys have every right to bash him, because he richly deserves it. But I'm so sick of even seeing his stupidity quoted by other posters. It'd be less irritating if I thought for a second his opinions were legitimate, but they're clearly not.

Sorry. Placing a poster on ignore is a personal choice. You have chosen to do so. Others have not.

Perhaps one day, this forum will have the additional functionality of blocking quoted posts. Unfortunately, unless another moderator or Reality corrects me, that day isn't today and may not be very likely for a very long time.

However, there is a 99.9% effective loophole. Simply identify posters who you see employ a pattern of quoting already ignored posters and place them on ignore also. Through trial-and-error, you should eventually see the desired results--although there will always be a .1% margin of error.

Moderators cannot be placed on ignore.
