We have talked at nauseum about what the Cowboys might or should take in the 1st Round. What have you heard about our opponents heading into the draft? My thoughts are

#2 Giants - could reap alot of picks if they choose to trade down, but if they don't and are forced to pick I have them taking Chubb since they traded JPP off. have been linked to Barkley, Darnold or Rosen

#13 Commanders - I've seen Vea to the Commanders in alot of mocks, I wouldn't be surprised if they took Ridley.

#32 Eagles - Goedert seems to come up to them, possible small trade back.

Anyone who lives in those markets hearing anything?

nyg...if they stay...nc st de bradley chubb.

was...vita vea, tremaine edmunds if he were to slip and Ive heard they really like derrius guice.

philly...christian kirk,dj chark,will hernandez.

Giants should take Nelson and give them an anchor on their OL for the next 7-8 years.

I've also seen Guice mentioned with Washington. Also a couple of the Ss.

Philly has all kinds of name mentioned to them - couple of the OTs since Peters is at the end of his career, WRs like Sutton or Moore, TBs like Guice, even LBs and DTs. One position I haven't seen them linked with (other than QB) is DE. They are pretty stacked there right now.

I seriously doubt the Giants stay at #2, I don't think they are going to take a QB, so they could really get a ton of picks to trade down, and not that far either, then they could take Nelson.

Think Giants trade back with the Bills and possibly even a 2nd time if they can move a few spots back from 12. They want to give Eli as much help as possible and attempt one last run. Also sets up Webb to take over a complete team.

I have a feeling Commanders go defensive back at 13. They have no one other then Josh Norman. A run stuffing Nose Tackle can be found on day 2.

I can see Philly either trading back or going defensive back.

I would love for Giants to take Barkely

Skins to take Guice

And the Eagles to go extinct

He's very good.

But he's also a RB who would go to a team with an awful Oline, on a team that isnt a contender, and he's just the 4th best prospect so nabbing him at 2 would be a lack of value.

The alternatives are Nelson, Rosen, Chubb, and Rosen. That would suck if they landed amy of them.
I disagree with you on him being the 4th best prospect. He is the best prospect or #2 best prospect in this draft, imo.

Nelson, Darnold, and Roquan for me above him.

Even if he's the 2nd best player, hes still a RB so youee not getting value.
Nelson is #1 and then Barkley as overall best player in the draft regardless of position. It's just my opinion.

Yeah. If the Giants don't take a QB I think they will trade back if they can to a team that wants a QB. They could trade back a few spots and get a kings ransom in return. They could trade back multiple times and get a war chest of picks and still stay in the top 15.

Same thoughts on the Giants if they trade down.

But when your in a QB dominated league - your get a franchise QB when you can.
If the Giants pass, via the trade or selecting another player, now then they will be a team at 8 - 8 for a few more years.

That will not get them a franchise QB when they need one.

They could have the same mindset we had with Thinking Romo had another 3 to 5 years in him. They might think Eli just needs a Oline to make another run. Hoping they have this mindset.

Giants - QB or move (probably move)
Commanders - Vea or Edmunds
Philly - Connor Williams or DJ Moore

If I picked for them I have:
Giants take Barkly
Commanders take Ridley
Eagles take Kolton Miller

Barkly IMO is average between the tackles but tremendous bouncing outside. Would be significantly better at a team with good mobile o-line plays that can pull. That’s not the Giants.

Ridley is decent but I think a low ceiling, high floor pick. And the Skins won’t have a QB to throw the ball anyway.

Kolton Miller I think is just a bad/overrated player

I'd agree with that. But I'd still never spend that high a pick on a RB - no matter how good he is.
