8-8 Wash
6-10 NYG
4-12 Phi

Bad division again this year. Washington doesn't take a step forward like some think they will. Giants defense sucks, oline troubles. Philly with new coach and Sam Bradford. Seems like they're willing to let this be a rebuilding year and let Wentz sit.

I agree. They have better defensive and will be on the field less. The offense will be better with a more traditional attack and not the 3 plays in 30 seconds stuff. People like AsthmaAttack will call me an Eagle lover. It isn't true. I just think they are better than people are saying. AND we should have went for Wentz.

Wentz won't play this year. They've already stated that. They have the worst WR core in the division, and maybe the conference. With an average QB, at best. I do agree their defense will be fine and perform better not being on the field as much. But I can also easily say an inexperienced HC could be the cause of some Ls.

How in the world do you have the eagles winning 10 games?
He's an eagles fan playing at being a cowboy fan.

Sock puppet.

You know, the old "I hate philly but I really think they're going to be a power this year." All the while telling us how bad Dallas is.

Of course he does it every year.

Exactly. One of their big wins was against the Foles-led Rams that didn't even have Gurley in the backfield yet. They played a 4th place schedule but pumped-up their chest when they won the pathetic division. The expectations set for Cousins and that team are at an all time high, but reality hits you hard, bro.

So exactly what about this 2016 team isn't going to do well? Because you've said a whole lot of nothing, bro.

Let's start with the heart and soul of any offense...your QB:
FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | Quarterbacks and Pressure, 2015
"Kirk Cousins, had a sharp drop in performance when pressure was introduced, falling from a DVOA of 69.0% without pressure to -110.1% with it. Opposing teams only managed to get pressure on Cousins 20.5 percent of the time, the fifth-lowest rate in football, which certainly helped him put up a career year. Washington's weak schedule (25th-ranked by DVOA) also played a part in his drastic improvement, so it will be interesting to see whether Cousins can keep up his level of play against tougher competition."

In short, Cousins was 2nd to last place (behind Hoyer) for crapping the bed when under pressure. That's not a good look [/Donald Trump voice]. Add to that the fact that his record against .500 teams is abysmal, and I wouldn't have much faith in him when you will have to play the division's 1st place schedule in 2016.

There's a reason why the Commanders tagged him this year. Even those guys don't trust his 2015 hype.

LoL...using some crap that fools came up to rank players...so by that ranking system that they use Cutler is the best QB in the league? What about the backup QB's Dallas had last year, they all ranked higher than Cousins according to them, but could only win one game?

Can you remind me which dumpster fire of a team those backups beat?

Indigenous Peoples of America fan confirmed!

For one, you are defensive. Two, Cutler was either too calm or too stupid to notice when he was or wasn't under pressure (which fits into his character traits of being a tough, Strong-armed SOB that plays the game HIS WAY). Basically, if a mediocre QB plays the same, whether he is under pressure or not, it doesn't make him a great QB...just one that doesn't curtail his play in the face of said pressure (hence brave or oblivious). If Geno Smith was crappy without pressure, and then no worse when under pressure, it doesn't make him a great QB...just a crap QB that isn't affected with pressure. But if the QB was very good without pressure, but piss poor under pressure...that could mean something.

Only ONE Dallas QB was included in that analysis, and that was QB2 Cassell. He didn't play enough games to truly, honestly be included in that analysis, but even included, his knock was that he had a failing arm and bad judgement, not that he got happy feet in the face of pressure. To be honest, it wasn't that he didn't step up in the pocket or scramble on queue....it was his decision making and accuracy that lost us games in the 4-5 he played in (ironically, that 'one game' was against your Commanders, and was one of the first in many years for a QB2.....that's gotta burn you...especially since you brought it up). I think Cousins has better accuracy and decision making than Cassell. The difference is that Cassell is a Vet with experience and can handle pass rushing better. Cousins will eventually get there if he is still in the league another 2-3 years.

Eli and Romo are the elite QBs of the division. Cousins is average (meaning not bad, not great...but certainly not QB2). Could he become very good? It's possible, but it will take more than one year to substantiate that label. Nobody was crowning Eli or Romo after their first winning season. It takes a little more consistency than that.

Can you remind me which dumpster fire of a team those backups beat?

Too early for me to have a feel but this early I say it comes down to Dallas and NY.

I think philly is not as good as the other three teams offensively and Washington has a really tough December stretch.

Dallas will have the better running game and NY will have the better passing game.

I hope Dallas and NY both get in and Romo gets a chance to knock out manning.

  • Giants are tough. They have always played the Cowboys close. Last year on sept 13, with a healthy Romo and dez, we beat them 27-26 on a last minute touch down.
  • OBJ, Cruz, and Shepard are a dangerous trio at wideout that can stretch the field vertically. All three are interchangeable
  • On the defensive side they get Vernon over Ryron and JPP over Free. That's one that Free will need help with.
  • First tier defensive signings: Jenkins at CB, Harrison at DT, and Vernon at DE
In my opinion their off season approach was similar to Elways in Denver. This will be a tough matchup for the Cowboys.

there was nothing healthy about dez that opening night. he played one quarter. spent the second qtr getting an iv and then got hurt in the third.

That game was their 5th straight loss to the Cowboys. They haven't beaten Romo in four years and that one was by a literal fingertip.

Cruz hasn't played in nearly two years and Shepard has never taken a snap. OBJ is one of the best players in the league. Two of them are huge question marks.

Free agency is typically fools gold. The Broncos took a good defense to great. The Giants were the worst defense in the league last year. 1 techs, average corners and guys with a handful of sacks aren't first tier in anything but salary.

If Romo and Dez play 16 games

Dallas 12-4
Giants 11-5
Commanders 9-7
Eagles 7-9

Our schedule is pretty soft, and this offense is going to carry this team.

Giants focused on passer rating differential, sacks, and turnovers, while helping run D and their run game. They had a wild, expensive, but smart offseason. I think Shepherd will be a baller and Jerell has a lot of potential to be one of these new breed pass catching TE's. I think he was the most athletic TE at the draft.. OBJ, Cruz, and Shepherd might turn out to be the most dangerous passing attack in the NFC. On D we all know the signings, Snacks is going to be a monster at DT, and I liked their S and ILB draft picks a lot.

They just signed Leon Hall too. A talented WR and TE, pass rushers, and a ton of secondary help. I also hate they got Paul Perkins. That kid can do everything. If they can get their stuff together, they're going to be a very dangerous team.

Commanders had another solid offseason, they're actually building that pretty well. I just don't believe in Cousins.

Eagles basically maintained status quo, and everyone else in the division got better. They're going to have a tough time winning games in the NFCE this year.

NFCE redeems themselves this year

Giants 10-6

Dallas 8-8

Probably what I would pick. You could flip-flop the Commanders and (Go) Cowboys and maybe give the Eagles a 10th loss.

After this year though the Eagles will win this division a minimum of 10 straight years.
