I notice the receiving groups in the NFC East are pretty stellar...and we're a bit bored, so

Rank each team's core receiving groups in order.....Top 3 WRs and 1 TE per team

Here they are in alphabetical order:

Dallas: Dez Bryant, Terrance Williams, Cole Beasely, Jason Witten

New York: Odell Beckham, Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shephard, Evan Engram

Philadelphia: Alshon Jeffery, Jordan Matthews, Torrey Smith, Zack Ertz

Washington: Terrelle Pryor, Jamison Crowder, Josh Doctson, Jordan Reed

1. New York Giants- clearly the best and by a good margin.

[solid gap]

2. Cowboys- Dez is probably declining, But Witten and Beasley are reliable, and Butler/TWill solidly round out the solidified group. Switzer only adds more intrigue.

3. Commanders: Pryor is pretty good and Crowder is electric. Reed may be the second biggest receiving threat in the Div, but because he can't stay healthy, I have the Commanders trailing.

4. Eagles- Alshon Jeffrey has the potential to be prime Dez Bryant. Jordan Matthews is actually really good for a number 2 receiver, but Ertz and Torrey Smith are just okay.

You could switch around 2-3 and I wouldn't be mad atcha.

1) Giants
2) Commanders
3) Cowboys
4) Eagles

The thing is, if we take the more than just the recievers into account my list would be much different. The Giants receivers don't scare me because that o line is horrendous and they've done very little to address it. Our D line should look really good aganist them and Eli won't have time to get those guys the ball making them a non factor. But...based on talent alone I think the Giants have it and the Commanders have more potential to hurt us with their receivers.

Its really close. No ONE is clearly better than Dallas in the east. I know names like Witten and Beasley arent impressive but those are dependable stud players yearly. Witten may be old and slow but he can still get open and is money when it counts. Alot of the other teams we are simply projecting what we expect but some of those young receivers still need to prove themselves.

The big question will be how Brandon Marshall and OBJ work together. I would love to see them clash, OBJ playing for a monster contract is gonna want to have every ball thrown to him and Marshall can't keep his mouth shut. I wonder if OBJ invites him to Miami for a boat ride?

The pressure is off TWill, he has his contract and security. Look for him to relax a bit and have a big year. That would be great. Our receivers play well together, I feel they are more interested in team stats than individual stats.

Giants are good, but I'm counting on some unhinged drama moments and/or divo moments (yacht party-risqué) from Odell and possibly Brandon Marshall.

I hear ya...even if Moore was the all-time winningest college QB.....just sayin.
You are a major UNC homer for Switzer. Own it brother, nothing to be ashamed of...and I know you are not:flagwave:
Actually any tar heel I'm a homer but Switzer produced at receiver and punt returns

Giants, Cowboys, Sk*ns, Eagles. Though I like the Skins group a lot, too. I thought Doctson was going to be a great rookie pick, and Pryor seems not well-liked, but to be a player who could become a star before too long here. Glad he's only on a one year deal.

And Reed is probably the best pass catching TE of the group right now, just has injury issues. Pryor is a stud

Giants would be one for me. Washington may be a strong second. Although they have a lot of question marks. I really liked the Pryor signing and was surprised he could only get a one year contract. Doctson injury history and Reed's concussion are concerning. Crowder is a stud. If Doctson plays to his draft position I would put them right behind the Giants.

Which just goes to show how pathetic the Eagles pass catchers were last year. They radically upgraded the unit in the offseason and it's still the worst in the division.

Giants have the best receiving group by a decent margin imo.

Dez Bryant is the wildcard for Dallas. If he can get back to his pre 2015 form we're a firm 2nd. If he continues to struggle with nagging injuries we could easily be 4th.

Washington and Philly are neck and neck, but it'll give the Skins the edge because Jordan reed is a tough matchup and Josh Doctson is an unkown but has WR1 upside
