NFC East Rivalries -- Rank 'Em

On the Thursday opener Giants vs. Skins I got to thinking about how big of a rivalry the other East teams have with each other, compared with their rivalries with us. I just didn't feel the hatred between the Skins and Giants that I feel when we play an East team.

Thought it might be a good thread in honor of our first division matchup.

IMO every East team's biggest rival is Dallas. It sort of changes from year to year as to which is the biggest, depending on which of the other three is the most talented.

I think that on an average year the Dallas-Washington rivalry is the biggest in the division. Typically followed by the Dallas-Philadelphia rivalry. Then when the Giants are good, like they were last year and have started out so far this year, the Dallas-New York rivalry pushes the one we have with Philly.

New York-Washington??? ehhh.
New York-Philly?? I guess it's a little heated.
Philly-Washington?? yawn.

Every team in the East hates us above all others.... Must be something to that hatred saying after all.

People underrate that Giants/Eagles rivalry. Philly always likes to one up big bad New York no matter the circumstance. Football, baseball, basketball. Doesn't matter.

When I was younger it seemed the boys skins game was a huge rivalry. But having gotten older and grown up in the time I did I would have to say the Boys Eagles game means more to me. One of the first eagles memories I have is of them throwing snowballs and batteries at one of my favorite cowboys when he received a career ending neck injury.

Man, am I getting old.

Agree with you though, but it probably has more to do with the fact that the Eagles have been at or near the top of the division for years. Now that we've risen from the dead (lots o 5-11), it's gotten very heated again.

If the Commanders ever decide to get good again, perhaps our rivalry with them will heat up again.

Right now, they're more like an annoying gnat.

That's the truth, I know many Eagles fans and every one of them will tell you the Giants are their biggest rivalry.

strickly going by who i think is our biggest rival on the field,its got to be--1 eagletts-2 gnats-3 redstinks and its been this way for a while,imho
