It's been said by a few fans and others that based on last night's performance, Dallas will win the East. I suspect it will be anything but easy:

Washington-DEF looks top level and play 5 of their 6 games against NFC East in last 5 weeks of season, so they have opportunity to overcome a slow start. Coaching suggests they will be there or thereabouts.

New York-Have a coach that will make sure his team is focused. Too many questions and unknowns on their Offense. O-Line a real concern. Think they fall short

Philadelphia-are being written off as in a rebuilding year (false narrative). O-Line and D-Line much improved on last year. I think they are in contention. Alarm bells will start ringing for me if they win in Atlanta. GM has had a great off season

Yep, 3 teams will probably have a chance with a game or so left in the season....just like most years. In one way, it is nice playing in an awful division year after year, but we really have never taken advantage of playing in a bad division.

In some ways, I wish there was an elite team in our division to force us to raise the level or our play or be left out. As it stands now, we can be completely average and still have a good chance to win the division.

I just can't buy the Giants at this point. You cite the coaching but there are some issues there in that Judge seems to have rubbed some players the wrong way, etc. Their QB is a huge question mark.

I still think the Skins are in the best position to win the East if not us. They have a good defense and won the division with some pretty shoddy QB play at times. Fitz isn't Brady but probably will give them better QB play.

Philly has two really good lines but are kind of thin with some aging/injured guys. If they can stay healthy, I too think they will be better than some think. If you can win the line of scrimmage, you can stay in games.

At the end of the day, if we can't get better on defense and figure out a way to get pressure on opposing QBs, this is going to be a tough divisional race for us IMO.

After watching us play last night the rest of the East has to be pooping there pants.

Very very true....our offense if healthy is gonna eat them alive and wft defense isn't nearly what Tampa is....we are going to have the shot

If we pass block as well as we did last night, we will shred Washington's defense

They got propped up alot last year

I think we're the best team on paper and our performance last night showed that, but it was still just Week 1.

We won't really know who this team is until about Week 7 or 8.

I'm excited to see how they play against a team without Tom Brady as their QB.

I will be watching those teams Sunday to see how they look. However if they don't look so good, I will not come to the conclusion we are the better team.
Even though I may say we are, we got this, or something like that. But also know that is not 100% be a homer.. More in being a fan saying stuff. As you know those teams fans would. But it is a long season, so will not get hyped up.

All it really means I am ready for week 2 to see how we do against SD, oops, LAC. A team many are predicting a playoff spot. Heck I see LAC pushing KC for the division.

The final preseason game last night (against the Bucs) was a great "dress rehearsal" for us... The offense played together for the first time, established some chemistry, and scored some points. The defense played and subbed just about everyone and were able to practice creating turnovers... Coaches practiced some play calling and situation football... Now on with the "16 game season" beginning next week against the Chargers...

After last night, the Dallas Cowboys are the clear front runner barring major surprises this weekend. Within 2 points of beating the best team in the league that will ALMOST CERTAINLY sweep the rest of the east. On paper, the hardest game of the season and went toe to toe with them.

If you think that the Giants, Eagles or WFT are anywhere near the same level of the Bucs, you didn't watch last season or pay attention to the offseason. WFT is the closes, has a stout defense but weak offense. The Bucs have a BETTER defense and the Cowboys carved through them like butter.

I expect 10 wins minimum after what I just saw, and depending on how it goes against the chargers would consider bumping that to 11-12 wins.

The Chiefs, Chargers, Pats and a few other surprises are the most concerning games. Otherwise, Dallas outclasses opposition almost every other game.

The NFL does not work like that.

Every game will be a battle in itself. Not related to each other. One battle down, and lost. Onto the next one. But the NFCE is always tough no matter the records. You get too cocky, and then you get your arse handed to you. Take each game at a time, next are the Chargers.

I am interested in which one of these east teams can win this weekend. I am not sure any of them do. I think philly has the easiest game but I am not sure they can keep up in a shootout.

NY and Denver are very similar teams and should be a close game to the end. Washington and the Chargers should be a very even game also. I am really excited to see the chargers and how good they are.

If health and gameday effort is maintained for the remainder of the season then the division is on lock.

Based off of what? No one has played but Dallas and I don't see Dallas losing to anyone in the division.

It’s over

It’s over

I haven't gone over to Enemy territory to see what they were saying about our game, but I would wager that most of their fans had an oh $&%* moment and realized that the Cowboys offense is legit and our defensive weakness aligns with their offensive weakness, i.e. passing.

It will be interesting. I have my suspicions that Washington will field a highly capable team and we'll have a dogfight with them to take the East title. We'll see.
