NFC East

Ok, I am a long time lurker, but seldom post. However, I read something last week on CNN/SI that really irked me. Ross Tucker (I think it was him) said that based on the Foreskins 1 (count em, 1!) preseason game that he was leaning toward picking them to win the NFC East. COME ON!!!! REALLY??? Then McFlabb, the chunky soup wonder, goes out and lays an egg this past game. Then you have fatty albert, and the "genius" going at it, and you have the recipe for a complete meltdown.

Now I am in no way saying the East will be a cakewalk, but I think (notice, my opinion only!) that you can safely excuse the foreskins from contending for the East. I am concerned a little bit with our offense. The defense looks great, excepting the game against SD. Even in that one, they looked ok at times.

I do like our chances this year. I think we have a good chance of contending for the SB.

You could probably count on one hand the number of non-Commander homers who will actually pick them to win the division.

I think the Skins should be solid...but still picked 4th in the divison.

I dont have any idea who will win the east. The eagles have a great opportunity because of the schedule to win it but having watched them so far, they look bad on offense.

but its august and that doesnt really mean anything. But I imagine they would probably like to see kolb do something from the pocket and throw the ball well since he has no track record of it.

but the east is up for grabs as always. this divison is immensely talented and should be terrific again this year.

Its between us and the nyfg

I disagree. I think right now the giants are over rated. I like the eagles. they have reloaded offensively and picked up a few good defensive players. they are not going to be easy. except I think they went from a tough team to a finesse team, which doesn't bode well in december and january.

Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News is picking the Giants to win the East. He says our schedule is too tough.

It would take a lot of brass to pick the Commanders in the East this year.

For that matter, any year.

Giants if anything are underrated. Last year at this time they were ranked #1 by virtually everyone, then they got destroyed with injuries.

I think that's actually possible. That six game stretch or whatever it is with IND, NO, GB, AZ and PHI could kill us.

Having said that, it's still Dallas' division to lose. I don't think any of the other three are good enough to make the playoffs...maybe Philly.

Apparently, living in the Giants media market, you've been brainwashed. They're simply not good. The Giants are filled with highly overrated players.

The Eagles are the only real challange for the NFC East this season, but I think they'll be a tough challenge.

Injuries hurt them for sure, but losing Spagnuolo as their DC and Eli's security blanket, Plaxico, hurt them too.

Maybe thats the case.

Eagles?

They got korn on the kolb as their qb and lost a starting cb.

This bias against the Giants bothers me. They will be very tough and our schedule is brutal.

some people here don't take schedule into account.

I agree. everybody underestimates the Giants on this site for some reason.

I'm actually surprised by this. I believe they are clearly superior to the eagles and redsucks.

I can't think of one unit on either team I'd take over the Giants.
QB, Offensive Skill Players, OL, Defensive Front Seven, Secondary

they're gonna be good again and it looks like the o-line is gonna be a solid unit once again. everybody is jumping on the Philly bandwagon but i'm not buying the hype. It will be between us and the Gmen for the NFC East crown.

giants dont have that easy of a schedule either-they play the vikings, packers, eagles and the skins to finish off.

I think the NYG are the biggest toss up team in the NFCE. I could see them regaining early 2008 form or continuing with their ****ty 2009 ways.
