Pretty much equal... not very compelling, I know... I wouldn't have taken the time to do this if I knew the results would look like this. :laugh2:

If the Pats are resting their starters in that last game, that makes the Giants' Dec. schedule pretty soft.

I see the Giants being 11-5

Cowboys 13-3

No way do the skins win 11. They win 8. They are regressing at an extremely fast rate.

What makes you think Giants will beat Cowboys this Sunday?
Not only that, he has the Giants winning the division at 12-4 with a 5-1 division record.

This game scares me b/c the Giants are rested, healthy, the coaching staff has an extra week to prepare, the Meadowlands will be rocking, the players will be hungry for revenge, etc.:(

And on top of that, it's not very often we play well at the Meadowlands. We lucked out last year there.

So, we actually have the easiest remaining schedule... not by much, but it's still an edge...

Interesting...

And on top of that, it's not very often we play well at the Meadowlands. We lucked out last year there.

But the Cowboys averaged an INCREDIBLE 8.7 yards per play against the Giants in their first game... I mean, their offense just completely DOMINATED the Giants' defense...

What makes you think that defense will fare markedly better this time around??

I keep hearing about how the Giants have been hot these last 6 games, but look at who they've played... I also hear that they're healthier than they were in that first game, but so are the Cowboys... we've got Greg Ellis this time, and Terence Newman, and we'll also be working Tank Johnson into the rotation...

As for the "it's not very often we play well in the Meadowlands" argument, well, the Boys are 2-2 there in their last 4 games... they won last year and in 03, lost in 04 and 05...only once since 1998 have the Boys lost a game in New York by more than 7 points (2002, when they got hammered 37-7), and they have one blowout win there too (1999, a 31-7 win)...

Besides, this is the first game that a Wade Phillips Cowboys team will go into the Meadowlands, rendering past history less relevant; I seem to recall reading how we never played well at the Linc going into last Sunday's game, too... I'd say we played pretty well in THAT game, wouldn't you??

I'm a bit worried about the Giants coming off the bye this way, but their record the week after a bye is really, really bad...

I see this as perhaps the toughest game remaining on the Cowboys' schedule, but the thing that worried me the most going into the first Giants game was Eli having a big day against us... he hasn't been that impressive in recent weeks, and our secondary is healthier, so I'm not as concerned about him this time around...

Eli has had less than 200 yards passing in 4 of his last 5 games. He won't light us up like he did in week 1. We'll win the game, and I think we'll do it by double digits.

From Hostile's post:

Early look at the Giants coming off a bye week. Man, the Giants fans weren't kidding they have been awful.

1990...week 5...Won 24-20 @ Commanders

1991...week 8...Lost 13-17 vs. Commanders

1992...week 4...Lost 10-13 @ Raiders

Two bye weeks in 1993
1993...week 4...Lost 14-17 Bills
1993...week 8...Lost 6-10 vs. Jets

1994...week 4...Lost 22-27 @ Saints

1995...week 8...Won 24-15 @ Commanders

1996...week 6...Lost 10-16 vs. Eagles

1997...week 10...Lost 6-10 At Oilers

1998...week 8...Lost 14-21 @ Commanders

1999...week 9...Lost 19-27 vs. Colts

2000...week 8...Won 24-7 vs. Eagles

2001...week 12...Lost 13-20 @ Cowboys

2002...week 7...Lost 3-17 @ Eagles

2003...week 4...Lost 10-23 vs. Dolphins

2004...week 6...Lost 13-28 vs. Dolphins

2005...week 5...Lost 13-16 @ Cowboys

2006...week 4...Won 19-3 vs. Commanders

2007...week 9...??? vs. Cowboys

By my count that's 4-14, with 2 losses vs. the Cowboys. Next week will be the third meeting. Interesting that 3 of their 4 wins are against the Commanders.

They were 1-0 under Parcells. 0-2 under Ray Handley. 1-4 under Dan Reeves. 1-6 under Jim Fassell. 1-3 under Tom Coughlin.

These results are hard for me to fathom. They seem to fly in the face of logic.

The other teams strenghts of schedule are more difficult than ours because we don't have to play ourselves.

If you take us out of the equation, Washington's opponents have a losing record.

Some YPG numbers to go along with this post.... Its simple to read, red is bad green is good. One of our statistical flaws is Passing defense, we have played bad passing offenses and still give up 34 more avg yards then they usually get.

Even if the Pats are undefeated?

And it's entirely possible if the Boys are like 13-3 and the Gmen are 11-5, they could sit players for that game being the top seed wild card. The game could have no influence on who they play.
