No I didn’t bother going through their games. I’m sure someone will write it up though today at one of the sports websites.
They kind of mentioned how the Steelers can get that 7th seed on NFLN, but it was a lot of things needing to happen. So I wanted to see that so I know who to root for, for them to be eliminated. As Ravens wil probably rest starters, giving Steelers a chance to win.

Same for GB, want to see who I need to root for, to eliminate them. However if we get #2 seed, it would be nice to knock them out of the playoffs if they are #7.

I consider them the best in the division but yeah you never know. I will not assume how good or anyone is bad this season we've had 4 different "favorites" in the NFC....at one point Cowboys were a favorite, Eagles were, 49ers were, Lions.....NFC is truly wide open for me.
CMC is injured. But they will sit him next week, the 2 more weeks off. He will be ready for the playoffs.

It won't matter in the end. Cowboys offense can barely muster 20 points against any good team. And their run defense can't stop a nose bleed. We know how this time honored story ends.
The whiner field is over there. Jimmy said to tell you that.

‘Reminder, 49res will play team with lowest seed in second round. Next 2 teams square off for other game.

I mean I wouldn't say for sure. All it takes is Green Bay win and Rams lose to 49ers. Depends on how hard 49ers try to win because they've wrapped up #1 seed.

Didn't have to wait for ESPN Analytics this week. I confirmed below with the ESPN Playoff Machine, so if something is wrong, their machine is just broken. As I write this Green Bay is winning 23-3 halftime over the Vikings, so I'm assuming a Packers win. Will update tomorrow if that doesn't happen. Happy New Years all! I'm off for the booze! What a damn good Football Weekend! Curse is gone!

Week 18 Schedule Critical games:
  • Seahawks @ Cardinals
  • Buccaneers @ Panthers
  • Vikings @ Lions
  • Bears @ Packers
  • Falcons @ Saints
  • Eagles @ Giants
  • Rams @ 49ers
  • Cowboys @ Commanders

OIP.IeIUQT9UaGuL9UxdvhXa7gHaFp

Seedings For Last Week Scenarios
  • #1 SEED - San Francisco 49ers. LOCKED.
  • #2 and #3 SEED - Cowboys/Eagles or Lions
    • Cowboys in control.
    • If Cowboys lose, Eagles in control. Loser drops to 5th seed.
    • If Cowboys and Eagles lose and Lions wins, then Lions get 2nd seed. Cowboys get 3rd seed and Eagles gets 5th seed.
  • #4 SEED - NFC South LOCKED. Bucs, Saints or Falcons.
    • Buccaneers in control.
    • If Bucs lose, winner of Falcons vs Saints game gets #4.
  • #5 SEED - NFC East 2nd Place LOCKED. Cowboys/Eagles.
  • #6 and #7 SEED - Rams, Vikings/Packers, Seahawks, NFC South
    • Rams in control of #6.
      • If Packers win tonight, they control #7.
        • If Rams were to lose and Packers win again, Green Bay gets #6, Rams get #7.
        • If Packers win tonight, but lose next week:
          • Seattle controls #7 with a win.
          • If Packers, Seattle lose and Bucs, Falcons WIN:
            • Vikings get #7
          • If Packers, Seattle lose and Bucs, Saints WIN
            • Saints get #7
          • If Packers, Seattle, Bucs lose, then Vikings also get #7.
          • (Could be an error with this one if any team had strength of schedule tie breakers since I didn't pick AFC winners on Playoff Machine)

Few quick things:
  • We absolutely WANT that win next week and #2 Seed. This means ONLY the Niners in NFC Championship will NOT be a HOME GAME. :flagwave:
    • We will most likely be facing Packers as #7, especially if they win tonight, but outside shots for Seattle or LA Rams, and VERY small odds for Vikings or Saints.
    • This is what I root for. I want the Cowboys to kick the living %#*$# out of the Packers for all those heartbreaking losses. No Aaron Rodgers, not afraid.
    • If we stay at #2 seed, San Francisco gets lowest remaining seed after first round of games. (Which WILL NOT be us) And we get the second lowest seed remaining as a home game again.
  • If we were to drop to #5 Seed, most likely playing the Bucs, but Falcons or Saints could also slip in. It will be an away game, and both Rams and Packers (assuming they are #6 and #7 seeds) will have to get further than first round if we have any shot at a home game in Playoffs second round.
  • Looks like there is very small shot at #3 seed too. Which would be a home game with Rams most likely.
  • Another reminder, don't get confused by bracket. #1 seed always plays lowest seed at home. Remaining two teams play each other. High chance for a rematch against the Lions.
It's crazy how there's not much settled at all in the last games of the year mean a lot I think that's the strategy of the parity of the NFL wanted all the way down to the last game it means something..

UPDATE: Green Bay won, and here are odds as of today. Looks like they give LA Rams as much a chance of facing us as Green Bay after next week’s results

I want nothing to do with that Seattle matchup!

nfc_seeds.jpg
As much as I agree with you about this not having a second Seattle game I don't know man Green Bay and the Rams look just as much of A challenge at least we know we beat Seattle even though it was a high scoring affair I don't know how I feel about any of those three teams... I mean don't you wanna pick a team that you've already beat and probably has the worst quarterback of the three I know Gino played us well but right now Green Bay has seen it hit its stride Matthew stafford's always dangerous he has all kinds of weapons over there I think I'm changing my tune and maybe I'd rather see Seattle but I was with you the other day I didn't want to see Seattle a second time after that last game but really looking at the way all teams are playing right now. I might take Seattle....

Gotta figure Bears will lose away at Packers. Not too worried we face Seattle which is good because they tore our secondary up.

Not scared of LA or GB. I know LA is one of hottest teams right now but we matchup well with those wonderlic offense kids. All except SF Which for whatever reason able to manhandle us from the whistle.
The Bears are actually playing very well and would like nothing more than knocking the hated Packers out of the playoffs. If the Cards can beat the Eagles on the road, the Bears can definitely beat the Packers.

Rams have a tough game even though the 49ers are not playing for anything. McCaffrey tweaked a calf yesterday so he probably won't play. If Rams win, they probably go to Detroit, making the Stafford vs Goff storyline interesting.

If the Cowboys get the 2 seed, they should not be afraid of anyone. They don't deserve to be there if they lose.

If the Rams were to beat the Lions, then the Cowboys would play Philly in the second round while the Rams go to SF. If the Lions win, they go back to Dallas on a very bad mood after what happened on Saturday.

Should be interesting

Brother, you need to move out of that **** hole of a city because it's making you miserable.

Since you know the ending, how much money are you betting with Las Vegas that we will get knocked off in the 1st round? It will be considered an upset. If I were THAT sure I would place that bet.

GO COWBOYS! :star:

Yes. VERY good odds we rematch Detroit in Second round. Dan Campbell was pissed. He will be out for blood and will definitely rally the troops.

Hijo de la chingada, man! Too bad I didn't know then what I know now about the effects of heavy mota use or I might could understand what's all going on here. Lol

I'll check back in with you after next week's game to fully understand who we're playing in the 1st round. But I do appreciate your effort though, hermano.

Yeah, I know, hard to keep it simple. Lose myself too in those W-L scenarios. LOL

Look at @12+88=7 reply (post #6?) in chain. Dude did a good job summarizing the 3 most likely scenarios.

Bottomline though is we MUST win next week. We are night/day at home, and winning next week ensures #2 seed and the ONLY team that would not play us at home in any round is those damn Niners.

Keep it burning! ;)

GB, SF win it's LA
GB, LA win it's GB
CHI, SF win it's Sea
