I posted in another thread, but I'll ask here. Why is GB the #6 seed in the scenario where Green Bay and Arizona are both 11-5? They didn't play head-to-head, they have the same conference record, and GB has a better common games record?

Weird how if Seattle doesn't win they can only become the 3rd or even 5th seed.

I could be wrong but I believe in that scenario the Cardinals have the better Conference record...

How nice would the two seed be?

Arizona, Carolina, or Atlanta at home is all that stands in the way of the NFC Championship game.

I'm not 100% sure on this but could it have to do with strength of schedule?

Doesn't common games outweigh strength of victory? By my calculations (see the thread I made where I listed all the common games) GB has a 3-2 record and Arizona 2-3 in common games.

When I simulated Arizona and GB for losses they switched seedings which I found odd. I clicked on tie breaker option to see why it changed and "strength of victories" was the reason why.

If we end up the 3 seed give me Detroit in WC and Arizona as 2 seed so we can get them in their house. That scenario would have Seattle go to GB. I still believe Seattle has their number and it puts us at home in the NFCCG.

I just can't see the Rams beating the Seahawks in Seattle. I really hope I'm wrong though!

Here's a little graphic showing all the possible seeding outcomes that can transpire in Week 17. Handy little reference guide.

This chart doesn't account for potential ties
(and therefore our SLIM chance at the #1 seed), otherwise very helpful!
