I'll get torched for saying this, but take heart, I'm usually terrible at prognosticating so hopefully I've jinxed the teams I picked. I feel that unless our defense comes to life and fast, the Cowboys won't win the division or get a wildcard spot.

I predict division winners are:

Philly (they always finish strong and are winning despite injuries-they seem to have NY's # & could overtake them, if they dont they'll get the WC)
NO (incredible offense and looks like they have enough D)
San Fran (Az & Seattle are falling behind & prob wont catch up unless injuries kill the niners, whoever goes to the playoffs, there will be only one team from this division)
Minnesota (Good enuff to stay ahead of Chicago & GB, unless Favre breaks down)

Wild Cards: New York & Chicago

Being a Bills well wisher nowadays, I saw the Saints/Bills matchup and even though the Saints struggled, they play in a way that would give the Cowboys fits. On defense especially, if they stay healthy Dallas is not better than that team.

The only team in the NFC that scares me is New Orleans.

We dont have the secondary to play against Drew Brees and those receivers. We will be lucky if the Saints dont hang 50 on us later this year when we travel down to New Orleans.

I'll pick us...but I was literally ****ting my pants with every move the Eagles made this year...They picked up a ton of talent. Forget Vick

Saints-Good god. The bills aren't a very good team, but they are more than capable of 6 or so wins and the saints hung a 20 point win on them with nothing from Brees...And it looks like everyone was raving about Pierre Thomas for good reason

San Francisco-This could be Seattle before it's all said and done...Hasslebeck's gotta get healthy though...I don't trust Shaun Hill and the lack of passing game... Frank Gore's already getting hurt and the D is pretty good, but they won't win a thing outside the division without Gore cause how exactly do they score??? Even with the loss and porous secondary I want to say Arizona, but Kurt Warner had this sad look in his eye tonight on the sidelines and I have never seen him get that frustrated...he knows it might be over...

Green Bay-Call me nuts, but I see some kind of mini-minnesota meltdown...I think the packers will be very steady and I also don't know why in hell that defensive talent they have still aren't playing up to snuff, I expect they will get better and if not they should be forced to donate said players to the Dallas Cowboys for Bobby Carpenter and Jacques Reeves via the Houston Texans, if he even plays for them anymore...I think he's still there.

NO and the Giants are above us right now. Maybe the vikes too if the old man stays healthy. We should come right after those 3.

On defense they were playing the Bills. I look at the Saints as a team that is playing well right now but when it gets tough in Nov/Dec(maybe some cold weather games I don't know their sched) it won't be as easy for them. I am taking the wait and see approach with the Saints.

The thing that makes me feel less nervous, is that every team has a major hole somewhere, except maybe the Giants. The Saints can't play defense, Matt Hasselbeck won't play all year...etc.

That's why Dallas can't be counted out until they are mathematically eliminated.

I will reserve comment until December. There is "that month". Dallas definately has the team to beat any of those teams when they are playing to their level.

But, then that December comes.

With the way or defense has been playing, we are on the outside looking in at the playoffs. We are the 3rd best team in our division right now. Not by much, but if the defense doesn't step up and Romo doesn't learn to stop turning the ball over, there will have to be 3 teams from the EAST making the playoffs for us to have a shot. Could happen.......
