NFC Wildcard Race Remaining Schedules

All I know is Denver did us a hell of a favor tonight.
Dallas can kill NY in ten days, leave them for dead like the hyped carcass they are.

If Dallas comes thru these next 5 games on any kind of a roll I will like their chances against any of the other NFC teams. The confidence level they could be playing with might carry them far.

It's an interesting schedule that we have, indeed. Like you say, play well and we really have a chance to make a strong case -- not so much to anyone else, but to the Cowboys players themselves -- that they can compete for a Super Bowl champion.

The flip side is we play four teams in five games that could legitimately make the playoffs. We could easily struggle in a few of the games, and what then?

People still want to say the NFC East isn't the toughest Division in the NFL?

I don't think the NFCE is the toughest division in the NFL. I think it's a little hype that's a byproduct of an inferior conference. They're division like the AFC North Bengals Pittsburgh and Ravens or the Colts division with the Colts Texans and Titans. Either way you have it you have to NFC is looking to be the inferior conference and the super bowl winners wore more than likely come out of the AFC again unless you get some miraculous catch bS. But when they are teams like the Colts Pats Steelers and Ravens in the same conference. You look at the NFC teams that go to the super bowl and it's always straight garbage and non sense. But to be a product of a hyped division of a inferior conference is meaningless a lot of times teams sneak into the playoffs in the NFC when they would never even sniff the wild card hunt in the AFC. But Cheers I guess gotta win our battles somewhere.

If they dont play well then they are not the team I am hoping they are and they dont deserve it. I guess if they are going to be championship contenders they have to beat the best. This is their chance to show everybody that they are not the 2007 team.

One addition and one update that I think are probably relevant.

First the update: if you add in yesterday's games, all the numbers above change, except for Atlanta's.

Our remaining opponents are a combined .627 and we have 3 road games (3-2 so far) and two homes (5-1). NYG's remaining opponents are now 30-21 or .588. Phil's are 33-30 or .528. And GB's are 25-25.

And the addition: we are 7-0 against teams that currently do not have a winning record and 1-3 against teams with winning records. Four of our last five opponents have winning records.

So our remaining schedule really is very tough. I would be very happy with a 3-2 finish given this schedule.
