Dominoes are starting to topple.

The trickle down to college and high school will destroy the game as we've known it. They simply won't be able to find or afford the insurance anymore to carry the sport, regardless of the waivers players sign. Those are essentially useless.

Enjoy every precious minute of this game while you can folks. It's not long for this PC world.

People used to live their lives. Now, we just wrap ourselves in bubble wrap and wait to die.

The main thing is that people know the risk involved in any sport where you get the repeated trauma. like boxing, mma etc.
Then if they then choose to play that sport, they should not be able to sue for damages, but at same time
The sport should take care of their players without being sued to do so.

Some of the violence in the NFL today adds nothing to the game so if it is eliminated it would not hurt the game.
But that aspect would need the coaches and players to help change things, instead of NFL making rules.

Its only going to get worse until these guys get off of PED's. If you're a young athlete that has the potential to be special enough to make it pro. Why would you pick football? You can play pro baseball get paid more money and still be healthy after your career. You have a union that actually cares for you in MLB and have a fully guaranteed contract. Plus you are playing in a sport that has no salary cap. You can play basketball make more money and still be healthy after you career. You can play football make less money than the other sports (still a crazy amount of money) and just about guarantee yourself that you will have a serious issue with your head, knees, feet, hands, joints, etc. As a parent I will let my son play whatever sports he wants to but I will try to point him in a direction of basketball and baseball.

As long as people are willing to spend ridiculous money on Football, it will not go away IMO. Once that stops, maybe. Regardless, you can't stop people from playing football. Kids will pick up a ball and play anywhere there is enough room to run a 10 yard out.
