What is the play break down on 2 point conversions. Run vs pass, and what is the success rate on each.
I say keep the same, but 1-1/2 yard line or the 2. Not the 1. Just my opinion though with no reasoning except seems more automatic just as the extra point kicked from the 2.

If extra point is kicked, to me the 15 is stupid. But if they feel they must change it, go from the 7 or 10 instead of the 2. It adds some distance but maintains the integrity a bit on why they get the extra point to begin with.

kicking an extra point is useless, i never understood why they make teams do it. i would vote for kicking them from the 15 yard line, it would make things a little more interesting. i dont agree with moving the 2pt conversion up some. if they wanted to encourage teams to go for 2, just eliminate the extra point all together, and make everyone have to go for 2. just my 2 cents

Instead of having 2 different types of plays in the after-TD scenario (kick or regular play), there should only be "regular" plays. A run/pass from the 2 yard line would be 1 point and a play from the 10 would be 2 points.

This eliminates the boring-ness of an automatic kicking play while still allowing the team 2 options for getting points (1 or 2 points).

If Team A was making a kick attempt from 30 yards out and got a 10 yard penalty on the play, then they'd be kicking from 40 yards out, resulting in more points for the kick (though it is a more difficult kick)

Or you could just award the one for the penalty. I'm ok with two for the penalty, you make the kick, you make the kick.

I really see no need in making this change at all. Leave the 2 pt conversion where it is as well as the PAT.

I feel like it's a mistake. They've identified an issue but they're taking the wrong approach. The extra point should just be free or you can do a 2 from the 2.

SO this... the extra point is so perfunctory that it should just be given. Or, you can go for 2.

That's it.

Moving them makes it less likely, but so does setting the ball on fire. Making a change for changes sake is the conclusion of a child-like mind.

Nobody gives a hot damn about extra point kicks.

this is all because some mediots are whining and crying. And the NFL as usual over reacts.
