Wow this is a horrible draft, but on a side note Marcus McNeil declared for the draft??? This guy is a beast, another Johnathan Ogden.

He didn't declare, these guys are just a little slow.

Wow, I hate that.

If the draft fell like that I would rather trade down a few picks with the first one and get back that third rounder, but if we stand pat and it fell like this I would rather see:

#11 Antajj Hawthorne DT

#20 Troy Williamson WR

#42 (Would prefer that MArlin Jackson CB would slide a few spots here but)
Antonio Perkins CB

This would give us a play maker next to Glover, A huge vertical threat at WR and a top CB prospect that could possibly step in and play right away.

All that said, I don't think any team in their right mind should pick a DB in the first 15 picks becasue of the way the rules are enforced and you negate their play making ability. YOu diminish the value of the pick because of that. All in all I would prefer to see Mike Williams in a Cowboys uni.

My dream draft would be:
Mike Williams at #11

Travis Johnson/Shaun Cody At #20

Marlin Jackson at #42

I would be doing hand flips if it turned out this way.

The cowboys will not take Jones with the # 11 pick. their are 2 scenarios for them and here they are: #11, Rolle #20, DE, 2nd round, Ernest Shazor.
#11, Davis #20, DE, 2nd round, CB
Shaun Cody is also a player they don't need. They already have a pass rushing DT in Glover so now all they need is some fat beast to fill up room. Cody is not the man. If my first 2 suggestions fail then we pick up Erasmus James 1st.

Have you even seen Hawthorne play or just going by Name recognization? Hawthorne at most shouldn't be more than 2nd rounder. The guy is overrated and nothing more than run stuffing DT at best right now.

Maybe he will develop into something more in Pros, but right now, not worth even high 2nd round, in my opinion. Of course things can change for workouts etc as usual, with some team getting enourmored with him

Generally I don't get enamored with names. I saw him play in two games and he looked impressive. I think he would help alot along the Line. I really don't care about names but I do care about what guys can do. As I said though, that would NOT be my ideal draft.

Mike Williams

T. Johnson / S. Cody

Marlin Jackson.

Now that is a great draft.

With the way they have it droping right now, would probably perfer Hawthorn, Merriman, and then probably would end up having a CB drop to us since we didn't draft the one earlier.

I'm just amazed to see that many projected CB's in the 1st when the rules for them is still in limbo. If they loosen up again it becomes reasonable, but with any little bump being a possible 1st down, why spend that high pick there.
