Because they want to be more diverse to the LGBT community.
This has to be sarcasm or joking.

We aren’t allowed to discuss such things on the forum but I’d be happy to discuss on PM.Much of what you said is true but what if these football players actually studied going back to high school and learned something and got degrees that they could use and have careers lasting 20, 30, 40 years. Some of them could even make more in the long run than what they made playing ball without the injuries or the risk of injury. I understand what you're saying but we all have to understand that they CHOSE to take the risks so I have little sympathy for them wanting to be treated with kid gloves. And they haven't helped their situation with me ever since they have, with the leagues blessing, doing all their social issues while on the clock. If goodell had any kahunas he would have put a stop to that the very first time kaperjerk took a knee the first time. We who are not pro athletes if we tried to pull those social things while on the clock we'd get fired.

It's one of the only television related decisions that the NFL got right. Most if not all other tv decisions have been bad.Bingo. They started this a while back to give each other a chance to cover other games in other stadiums.
They begun a few years ago. Reason being that the networks argued that on a given Sunday the better matchups favored one conference or another. And they wanted more access for their national broadcast.
But the old rule still holds serve for most games. But they can flex a game if they think there’s a better matchup for the national broadcast .
They can’t both have late national games. Not every week anyway. There are a couple weeks they do.I've been thinking on this since I read that link and here's what I've come up with both networks could flex their games to the late game and except for the markets for each team, the networks can determine how much of the country see what games. There's almost always a couple of late games every week and yet one gets most of the country. There's always early games on both networks so why can both networks have late games too.

Remember too that not all late games are national games. They are regional broadcast that just kick off late. Usually on West Coast.
I agree with you about the importance of education. Approximately 50% of all NFL players get a bachelors degree, and most do very well after retiring from the league. Only about 5% of NFL players earn a graduate degree. By the way, Dak is in that 5% since he has already earned a Masters degree in Workforce Leadership. He was a very good student in collge, making the SEC All Academic team several times.Much of what you said is true but what if these football players actually studied going back to high school and learned something and got degrees that they could use and have careers lasting 20, 30, 40 years. It was part of the last network agreement. Cause one network could have several better matchups which effected their viewership. It's one of the only television related decisions that the NFL got right. Most if not all other tv decisions have been bad.
There can be late games on both networks pending who and where your normal regional broadcast teams are playing. They just won’t both be National broadcast. I provided an example above in another post .If you read what I said that there are early games on both networks so why can't there be late games on both networks. It doesn't matter if the games are on the west coast saying it's just regional because all games are regional until they decide to give it to most of the country.

probably covid and money. just like two mnf games last night. other than death and taxes, the only other thing of which we can be certain is that it's always about the money. It used to be that when two NFC teams played FOX aired the game and when two AFC teams played CBS aired the game. If a NFC team played at a AFC team FOX had the game and if a AFC team played at a NFC team CBS had the game.
Now none of that is still written in stone. I notice a couple of games they broke from this last season but now there has been counting this week there's been 4 times already. This week the Cowboys at home against the giants is on CBS. This is good for me because I live in a NFC city that most of their games are noon games and on FOX.
My question is why have they strayed from the conference coverage by the networks?
i said it was about money. just as it is with networks fle capabilities. which game is likely to pull in the most viewers. they switch in the middle of games. why? money. cindy lauper was right. The additional MNF game yesterday was due to a postponement from Sunday. Something of course we had never seen before until these most unusual circumstances. Totally unrelated to the Networks Flex capabilities we’re discussing.

Because the NFL doesnt allow both networks to have a National game each Sunday .Again I'm asking since there are early games on both networks WHY can't there be late games, even national televised games on both networks.

They made that change years agoIt used to be that when two NFC teams played FOX aired the game and when two AFC teams played CBS aired the game. If a NFC team played at a AFC team FOX had the game and if a AFC team played at a NFC team CBS had the game.

Because the NFL doesnt allow both networks to have a National game each Sunday .
I would imagine to maximize the viewership for each network respectively. And why they alternate weeks.
