Yeah, but that just relates to how poor a job the ref did, not the impact on the game. A missed penalty that is difficult to see because of a poor angle or bodies in the way or just the speed of the game are no less impactful than those that are easy to see.

NFl show with Boomer / Sims had a former ref on and even he with the typical " weasel words" couldn't dispute that there were 2 judges in the area, and anytime within the 20 they are focused on particular things, so it is inconceivable that they missed the helmet to helmet, never looked back
for the ball, plus ball got there early..

There's no doubt there is no excuse for missing those penalties.

Goodell out today with more " weasel words" re replay.... he finally crawled out from under the rocks as he knows this will come up during SB week...

It wouldn’t cost anything. Turn the lights on in the dome and put both teams back out there for the final 1:45. Put them on a neutral high school field if you want.

No one gets paid for playing an addition game. A team’s salary cap is 160 million, so that’s 10 mil for one game for each team.

Saints then would argue that not having the 70,000 people packing the super dome isn’t adequate home field advantage and the game still wouldn’t be properly fair. It’ll be millions just to pay off whoever is renting the super dome for that weekend, whether it be some boat show or a super expensive Taylor Swift concert.

Not to mention moving the Super Bowl itself, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to replay the NFCCG wafted the Super Bowl is done. That alone would probably be a couple hundred million, the festivities in Atlanta right now are astronomical. Every major news station has million dollar reporters living in Atlanta for this, and ESPN/Fox Sports/NBC Sports etc have dozens of guys. Dan Patrick, First Take, undisputed, Rich Eisen, all these shows move their entire production to Atlanta. Imagine telling them you’ll have to stay another week, another 2 weeks, come back again in a month when the verdict is made.

NFL should just perform temporarily contraction on the Saints rather than be forced to do this.
