Takkarist McKinley was still on the board in this mock. Would you take Taco over him?
I would. I like Taco's upside as a full-time DE over Tak.

Would be ok with this draft but rather sub out Samuel. He exploded this year, but dont know where he fits as an RB or WR.
Agree....he's a luxury we can't afford in the 2nd round. He wouldn't get more than 3-5 touches a game tops with our current lineup. Makes no sense to me. Go with a D.Tackle(especially if McClain leaves), LB or CB in round 2.
Samuel's a talent. OSU had no one else to throw to.I would not hate this draft.
I had heard Samuel had some Reggie Bush (college version) or Percy Harvin to him, and tuned in on him about 4 or 5 games. I wasn't super impressed.
Douglas is intriguing.
Maybe we can combine 2 and 3 and take Jake Butt and use one of the picks for an actual productive player. One can dream.Samuel's a talent. OSU had no one else to throw to.
I wouldn't mind this draft at all.
But more likely our top 3 picks will be:
1) Small school DB who killed it at the combine.
2) Tight End.
3) Injured guy who slips a round.

Yes, although for the life of me, I'll never understand Byron Jones over Landon Collins. At the very least, this front office has nailed their first round picks for the most part.

It's not hindsight. Anyone who watched Landon Collins knew how much he stood out, even in the midst of a bunch of future NFLers. The Cowboys were swayed by a workout warrior. You have the benefit of hindsight. Plus Dallas took Jones because they wanted a versatile defensive back. Collins, while having a great season, is purely a safety. He can't slide down into the slot, he can't play CB in a pinch, etc. And at the time of the draft, he was seen as strictly a safety. I think they wanted a DB who had the ability to do more.

Byron has one more year to be something or he is what he is. He was billed as this smart guy, well he should know the defense in and out then. Let's see the athleticism show itself with productionThe Cowboys were swayed by the flexibility of Jones. They said that at the time of his drafting.
Collins can't play CB. Jones can and that's why they liked him.
I am not saying Jones is better than Collins, mind you. But I understand why they took Jones over Collins.
You call yourself Taco when your real name is Vidauntae.
I'd prefer Bean Burrito over that.

Good mock but if the kid from Villanovan falls that far in the 3rd, I'd hope the Cowboys trade up to get him. DE 6'7 280 great productionhttp://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...f52332000&utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral
Have us taking...
Round 1
DE Michigan Taco Charlton
Round 2
WR Ohio State - Curtis Samuel
Round 3
CB WVU - Rasul Douglas
That man is gonna go in the 2nd or higher if he can push some weight and have a good 10 yard time.Good mock but if the kid from Villanovan falls that far in the 3rd, I'd hope the Cowboys trade up to get him. DE 6'7 280 great production
