Ask NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger who the most talented quarterback in the upcoming draft is, or who has the most potential, and you might get a different answer. You might hear a name likeTeddy Bridgewater or Johnny Manziel. But ask him what quarterback will forge the best NFL career, which is the question NFL scouts amass their scouting reports and measurables to try to answer, and Baldinger foresees a likely third-day pick: Georgia's Aaron Murray.

Called this in September... Please draft Murray. The more film I watch and reports I read the more I feel confident in my earlier comparison calling Murray a mix between Romo and Brees. I'd take him in the 2nd to assure we get him. Mark my words he will be a franchise QB. Unparalleled work ethic.

2nd is WAY too high, although I also think this kid can be good in the NFL...I don't think we go for a QB in the 2nd/3rd minimally (certainly not the first), especially with the Weeden signing

I'm not proposing we actually draft him in the 2nd, I'm just stating I think it'd be worth it to assure we land him. He's going to be a good one. I'll be surprised if in ten years he is not the best QB out of this class.

I think a trade up in the third is most likely.

I could possibly see taking Murray in the 3rd, IF we happen to trade down in the first and pick up an extra 2nd or 3rd in the process...but, as mentioned, we just signed a back-up, and this team doesn't like to carry 3 QB's

Kid is a good QB. Sadly, some have labeled him like they have Romo...a choker.

He's commonly compared to Romo, and I agree, mostly. He's also got quite a bit of Brees in him. He's got an ultra-commanding presence on the field, I dare say Manning-like in the fact you know he's the leader and he doesn't have to say it. Crazy football IQ. Impeccable work ethic. The size concerns are irrelevant, he played behind a line that averaged 360 pds and 6'45. Biggest line in football.

Add in his aesthetic appearance and the fact he's well-spoken, leading to his apparent marketability, and he's the entire package.

No way. McCarron's peak is at the level of Kyle Orton, he's a Colt McCoy clone. Give me Murray.

What, lol? Have you ever seen McCarron or McCoy actually play? They are completely different types of QB's.

Here's the question I have about Aaron Murray .... he played in the SEC at Georgia. He's had every advantage a college player could have. If he is so good, why isn't he a first-round pick? Why is he a fourth or fifth round pick, with the advantages that he has had?

Why was Russell Wilson a 3rd rounder?

Murray is my 2nd favorite QB in this draft with JFB being #1. I don't care how upset people get I hope we draft JFB, but if it works out where we trade back and pick up another 3rd I would scoop up Murray as I believe he can be a great QB in this league. My 2 favorite QBs I really hope JJ is considering a QB.

I like Murray too. Can he be got in the third?

I would assume that is the earliest he goes. He is going to have to work out well before the draft and he is in a battle against time.

It is a cripple race between him and Mettenberger to see which injured QB gets drafted first. I think the fact he is lagging behind Mettenberger in rehab drops him into the third day.

He is probably going to be the QB like Barkley was that everyone is clamoring for at the top of the fourth round.

McCarron was an OK QB in as good of a situation as a college QB could have.

I do not want that guy. He's a career backup at best with no upside.
