Heres a little something from NFL.com. Baldinger goes over some of the draft trades and stuff that scored Dallas big time players. You McFadden fans might like the statements he makes.

Interesting stuff and some good footage from some of the past drafted players.

When you have the overall team in place, (specifically the franchise QB), I love trading up for IMPACT players! McFadden is an IMPACT player!

Also we've picked our fair share of duds in the 20s over the years?

and Jones is on record saying that looking back, he probably made a huge mistake in trading down so much in the mid to late 90's...that the better move in retrospect would have been to move up for the better players and take quality over quantity

and its something I agree with considering this team as is...if this was the 89 or 2001 Cowboys, I'd say accumulate as many picks as possible...but it isnt

If 22 and 28 are enough to get us McFadden you do it. I doubt that happens but who knows.

other than trading for RW, CJ or maybe Boldin, getting McFadden is the thing that'd make me most happy this weekend...he'll have a HUGE impact if we land him

Yep. I'm in complete agreement with that.

Your not the only one that will be happy. Cowboys need to make this happen. McFadden is gonna be good in the NFL. The late 1st round corners are not going to impact the league like McFadden.

what you gonna do, jerry?

I'm just worried about what the Jets are gonna do. How bad do the Jets want McFadden? Obviously pretty bad, to bring his sister to the Jets interview with him.

I hope Al Davis wants out of #4 and get our #22 and #28 where he can find a DT and an LT. I had a dream lastnight that we moved up to #2 overall . I know we won't go that far but yesterday i wasn't feeling too good about our chances of getting Dmac. but after having that dream for some reason I'm starting to feel better. c'mon jerry I know you're sick of these 1st round exits!

I'm still hanging my hat on the fact that Parcells doesn't believe in taking RBs that high, and Parcells is Mangini's idol.

Yes, it would be ashame to change your sig. I can't see McFadden in any other NFL uniform. #22, #28, plus which veteran? Who on the roster would Al Davis want that the Cowboys would be willing to give up? Spears? Carpenter? Akin? Al Davis isn't that dumb. ;)

You might get Mendenhall with the two number ones. And you probably can get Stewart by just sitting still. I think they will have the impact you want without giving up the house.

And I can't wait until someone takes him and ends this months long ordeal.

i'd be ok with mendenhall if we couldn't get Dmac. but i don't want stewart on this team with the system he came from.

I don't see them as being that different on many levels. I think your point is probably why Mendenhall is rated above Stewart. That and the toe problem.

Just watched this.

Baldy is holding in his hand the 2007 media guide. I have been through that thing a thousand times. It is fantastic.

One of the highlights of the season for me is the first home preseason game when I can pick the new media guide up. Best 10 bucks I spend all year.

by the way he left out the galloway trade and the horrendous trade for alonzo highsmith in 1990. So there is a flipside to that.
