Romo is exactly the type of guy you don't want in these type of chats if your looking for something interesting.

TO would have given us names, specific examples, and a free e-copy of his personal diary.

did he really answer anything?.....a lot of dancing around....

Most do. He's always done it .. only question he somewhat answered was the offseason with footwork.

Wow. The perfect interview. I'm going to reread this several times. What a way to be diplomatic. He's been taking lessons.

Wow, what kind of answers did anyone really expect. If he gave names or direct answers, or anything else for that matter. People would still complain about that....well, he threw that player under the bus....or....wow, he expects him to play that well and do that much......

I loved his answer about working to make all the routine throws robotic. One of my biggest concerns was when he would get lazy and a mechanical error would cause the ball to sail or get picked off.

He's already got the intangibles, he can escape the pocket, manage the 2 minute drill, and has been able to make all the throws. If he can keep working and getting better, and our defense and special teams improve as much as we're anticipating - don't be surprising if he 'suddenly' becomes a much better QB in 09.

That foot work, robotic thing was last year.
The Tom Brady approach.
He said nothing.

Its a great thing to work on, every year.
Brady talk was blown out of proportion.
He said a lot.

He's at Yankee Stadium tonight (go Yanks!), doing charity work for the Starlight Foundation.

Thanks for the share, bb. If not for these pics, I'd have never known A-Rod has horrible throwing mechanics and Romo really is a fat bastid.

Somebody's gonna be mad that he's wearing his hat backwards.

he mentioned his footwork....yah I'll say...seems I saw more scrambling in Tony's game 2 years ago. Him standing in the pocket trying to emulate Brady almost got him killed last season when Flozell was getting juked by a fast linebacker.....comeon Tony if your gonna talk about footwork I hope its the running kind.

I don't understand why this Tom Brady stuff took on a life of it's own. What Tony actually said on the topic was really straightforward and not at all what's parroted back from nervous fans.

Several comments about Tony not saying anything in this interview. He didn't say much, but I thought the support for Garrett was significant:

I think that Jason has a great feel for the game. He’s a very intelligent individual, and he still maintains a certain level ... There needs to be good, open lines of communication between the QB and the coordinator and the QB coach. They need to trust you as a QB, and you need to be able trust the coaches.

I think we have a great relationship in that regard. He allows me to voice my opinions, and i always like it when he’s coaching me up and we’re doing the things that we need to do to get better as a group. That’s the key -- to improve collectively as a group. He’s an ex player, so he looks at himself through my perspective. He’s always going to try to improve the same way that I do as a player.

I’m lucky to have him around me -- he’s helped make me a better player.

Can I be the first to mention that the 'you need to be able to trust the coaches' and the 'open lines of communication' comments are clearly shots at TO's relationship with his former OC? Let's see if we can get the comical Tim Macmahon to blog about it.

I also noticed that Tony never mentions TO by name.

They are going to go after him no matter what- so saying nothing is probably the best way to handle it now.
