nfl.com mock- Decastro!

I would give up all other considerations, to have the projection of a left guard and left tackle of top shelf quality for a period of ten years.

On a sidenote - on the on~site draft that we conducted, I was given the very lowest grade in the draft. That was a D-, and I selected the very same player that nfl.com did for the Cardinals at pick #13: Jonathan Martin.

Go figure...

I don't think the Cards will take him, not there atleast, just not a good value. They could easily get Ingram or Upshaw if available at 13. However I could see Philly reaching for Martin after hearing about Peters.

we have been linked to every player drafted 14th through 21st.

that's why it is so likely we trade down.

I think the Bengals would be pretty happy if the land Coples and Kirkpatrick at #17 and #21.

And Claiborne at #7? Jax would be elated.

That was interesting. Dallas has several good players on the board to choose from. The Cowboys would probably take Micheal Brockers if it unfolded like this. I think he'd be a really good 5 technique against the run. The question is this. Can he develop into a pass rusher from the 5 and kick inside and provide pass rush on passing downs? Brockers is a raw player, and it will be up to his coaches to turn him into a quality pass rusher. That is the risk with him. I like Brockers more than Cox, though. If I rolled the dice, I'd take the player with the highest ceiling.

If it was me doing the picking, I would probably take Stephon Gilmore (CB South Carolina). I just really like the player, and I think he would be Dallas' most talented CB. I see Gilmore as a very save defensive pick, and I see him being a better player than Carr, too.

Trading back should be on the table, because you could get some more ammunition and use it to get back up for Peter Konz. That is a really big deal to me. I want Konz starting at center for the 2012 Cowboys.

If the draft goes that way Coples should be the pick.

He could play DE for us in the 3-4.

He could stay at DE in the nickel or occasionally flex into DT.

He brings athleticism to our DL and should bring a ton of pressure to the base defense.

If we grab him in the first and Bruce Irvin in the second and then draft a good OG in the 3rd round I"d be ecstatic.

shea mcclellin first round. know it's only a mock but still hoping fior him in r2

Quinton Coples could very well be the pick for sure. It was down to Gilmore and Coples, for me, and I chose Gilmore.

If Coples can stand up to some intense questioning and pass the psychological tests, I'd be on board.

Does this guy love football, and is he willing to do the dirty work (5 technique/play the run) and rush the passer?

That is another reason why I went with Gilmore.

I think Gilmore is the superior player when compared to Kirkpatrick. I hope Dallas' scouts see that Gilmore is a better player than Kirkpatrick.
Rob Ryan will not be here forever, and Gilmore is extremely talented and can do it all. Will the people who signed off on giving Orlando Scandrick
$ 10 million guaranteed please stand up?

That is a dream scenario.
