Hopefully this hasn't been posted. I'm at work and started this thread a while ago and had to tend to a couple of things. And for those of you who post articles frequently, I have a new found appreciation for you guys. Getting an article to look right is a pain in the butt.
As for Newman:
I like the attitude but for Newman to be remembered as one of the best he has got to get a few more INTs. I wouldn't trade Newman for any DB in the league because he is as solid as they come and doesn't give up much at all. Not to mention he is a DANGEROUS man as a punt returner. I hope that they let Newman get a few handles in the return game even though A. Jones should provide more than enough. Definitely more than Patrick "Fair Catch Machine" Crayton did.
But like I said, for people to remember him he has got to start getting the Highlights. Sad to say that a guy cannot be remember to playing at an elite level without grabbing the spotlight buts it's true.
Newman is definitely one of my favorite players. Aside from him being a K-State alum I can't find a single reason not to like the guy. Great work ethic, Great player and a terrific attitude. I suppose he could be a couple years younger but he doesn't have the miles that a player his age usually does so thats not a huge problem.
