Quarterback: Eli Manning, New York Giants
I know Cowboys fans will be displeased here, but as "Move The Sticks" host Daniel Jeremiah said to me this week, "Romo had one of his best seasons ever last year. Why? Because they took the ball out of his hands. Eli had one of his best seasons, too, specifically because they put more on him."

Running back: DeMarco Murray, Philadelphia Eagles
Some things don't change: The best running back in the division last year remains the best running back in the division this year.

Wide receiver: Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants
He's the guy who made that catch!

Wide receiver: Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys
He's the guy who made that catch that was called an incompletion!

Good God. His bias is showing...

Other than Eli over Romo, it appears he was fair in his assessment. It seems that a lot of writers have a stigma when it comes to Romo that prevents them from seeing reality.

They cannot deny what Romo did last year so they make it an aberration rather than admitting that their previous views on the QB were wrong.

Even the compliment to Bryant was backhanded. I'm just over mediots when it comes to our team. I want the Cowboys to win a SB to make these jerks eat their words.

Eli 34 years old, man i thought he was younger. He is only one year younger than Romo/

I didn't think so. Like most of us writers he was trying to be clever by making his comments similar for Beckham and Bryant.

If he had said, "He's that receiver that didn't make the catch," that would have been a slight. Instead, he acknowledges only that it was called incomplete.

Romo and Bailey got robbed there, but the rest of his list is pretty fair.

Yeah, I think it was pretty fair too, although Bailey probably deserved to be the kicker.

Having McClain and Hardy on there is more than most writers will do.

I love it when Romo gets disrespected like this. It should burn in his stomach for the upcoming season. Better than everyone patting him on the back and telling him how great he is. Nothing motivates better than that.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Eli is probably the most overrated player of his generation. Romo is the most underrated. That's how mix-ups like this one happen.

Yep, Eli had a nice season. 92 rating.

Too bad it wasn't even in the same ballpark as Romo with his 113 rating.

One of the dumber myths out there is this belief that as Romo throws the ball more he gets really poor. But when you look at it........... he's thrown the ball 500+ times in his career 5 times.

His ratings in those 5 years? 97.4, 97.6, 102.5, 90.5 and 96.7. And we are supposed to be impressed with Eli's 92 rating last year as he threw more passes?

This more the writer, Dameshek, than NFL.com. He, more than any of them, routinely disses Romo. It's not anti-Cowboy as much as his lack of appreciation for Romo.

Romo's "bad" years trump all Manning years for the most part.
Manning's great season they describe where he has so much of the load on him?
Eli...
30 TDs
14ints
92 rating (or basically lower than any Romo year regardless of how much he throws it)

Romo's great year where he supposedly didn't have to do so much...
34 TDs. ( way more than Eli)
9 ints. (5 less)
113 rating...far better

It's beyond preposterous.
No big deal really...but just plain poor logic.
And, btw, I do think Eli will have a good season.

It's sketchy when some teams or 4-3 and other are 3-4. Cox of the Eagles is a really good player.

Romo and Bailey omissions are silly.

It's also weird when you take the top WRs to get the 3. It seems like it should be a comparison of #1 WRs, #2 WRs and slot WRs.

Quite silly to have Eli over Romo and Yo use his fewer attempts as a reason.

Did he forget the 2013-2014 season when Romo went 31-10 td/int?
