Yeth, top shelf when he aint hurt, when he don't thow 3 picks or more in a game and when he aint doing heroics instead of letting Murray control the game.

And, no, he does NOT need to be playing against the cards or the lowly jags in London. Keep him on the bench and relatively healthy past the bye week.

To me Romo is not top shelf no more but he is the best chance we half after the bye.

Top shelf or not....there has only been 2 QB's IMO who has looked far beter than him this year and that's Aaron Rodgers and Peyton. Romo has been just as good as Rivers, Ben R, Luck, etc.

No.

But trying to call out others who have the audacity to like Romo on a Cowboys message board while the team is 6-2 with him at the helm isn't the best of ideas.

I'm not calling out anyone but TR. We would be 7-1 without him at the helm. Just give Murray the damn ball. Mark my words, TR will never get us to our goal of a Super Bowl victory.

If your trying to blame him for the 49ers loss...fine...he wasn't good but it's pretty clear from watching him that game and the games after that he wasn't 100% and had a bit of rust to shake off from not having any sort of real offseason work. Since then he's been great and has made some amazing plays.

As far as your SB statement that just pure speculation on your part. I'll wait until his career is over before I start assuming what he'll win or won't win. In any case you should be hoping he does well because as he goes the team goes.

Just don't act high and mighty towards those who actually think he's damn good because he is the quarterback of the Cowboys and you are on a Cowboys message board. You wanna trash the guy simply because you don't like him I'm sure the Commanders board will have you.

For now I will take comfert in the "for now" wording.
If he goes against the Cards defense (NEEDLESSLY, JERRA!) it might not turn out good.

Look Romo is top shelf QB who has occasional melt-downs. The Washington game was one of those. His vision was reduced to just looking at blitzing players instead of trying to find open receivers and they were open when you review film. He had 5 really really good games so I say cut him some slack here. But if he doesn't learn quickly how to keep his eyes down the field (even when they are blitzing) this will get worse.

I'll not be bullied by someone that has a different opinion... I have a right to mine just as you do to yours. I am a Cowboys fan and I want them to succeed just as much as you do. With that in mind, why must we agree on how that objective is accomplished? The answer to that question is of course... we don't have to agree, We still want the same thing, we just have different opinions on how it gets done. You like Romo, and I do not. We can agree to disagree and go our separate ways. Go Cowboys!!

I'd put Brady above Luck and Rivers, Luck below Romo, and Big Ben above Romo and Luck.

I speak my mind and will not dodge controversy. At the same time I do not seek controversy for controversy's sake. If my thoughts offend, then please give me a logical reason why. I'm not beyond having my opinion changed. The problem is, there are so few people skilled enough to craft a logical counterpoint and put it in black and white without a personally attack. I see the word "troll" very freely being thrown around. Those people are not interested in changing opinions and furthermore are incapable of doing so.

I have simply identified what I believe to be a fatal flaw in the Cowboy's cast of players. In the interest of improving the team, I have expressed how I would fix it. And for that, those that worship Romo would have me expelled from this message board. They can not tolerate a differing opinion. Why it threatens them so much I do not know.

Whatever, I'll put my big boy pants on and deal with it. I guess you'll just have to do the same. Maybe TR will play better in the future and we won't have to worry about it but I'm not holding my breath.

So how do you feel about our defense? Just curious?

My opinion about the defense is not so different from many others I've seen talking about it. The pass rush is not getting enough sacks yet puts ample pressure on the QB most times. Considering all the injuries our D has suffered, I'm surprised it's worth a damn at all... but it is. Even when the D is perceived to have had a poor performance, like what happened on Monday night, they held the opponent to only 17 pts in regulation play. That is normally pretty good. I don't know if that rag tag bunch can be held together the whole season, but if they can continue to hold opponents to 17 pts, the offense should be able to outscore most opponents.
