Saw this video over at NFL.com

He says the right things. I liked his answer about waiting to get back on to the field because once he gets back on "there aint no more coming back off".

Like his attitude about his future and owning up to his mistakes. Also talks about the vegas debt.

Seems like he might want things to get better.

Once, again. I searched and didn't see it posted so hopefully Im not reposting this.

Nice post dude. He's gonna be fine and even better on the field...

I hadn't seen it yet, so thanks.

I'm still not a fan of the man, but I'll admit, he comes across as genuine in that video.

We will be replacing Reeves with Pacman, that's unbelievable and awesome. What a HUGE difference!!!

Probably Reeves with Jenkins to start. Pacman will be replacing Nate Jones which is even more ridiculous to think about.

Pacman will be our 3rd CB and is talented enough to really start over AH. This kid can really play..

We've acquired controversial players in the past. Of course, none more questionable as Pacman. I'll admit that I was skeptical at first, but the same was true of other past players that proved to work out just fine.
Just as I have in the past, I will support the acquisition, now that it's formal.

Since Jerry has managed to do quite well with these types of transitions. I'm optimistic about his future, now that he wears a Star on his helmet. :starspin

It's unfortunate that he keeps getting cameras and microphones stuffed in his face because absolutely nothing he says matters at all EXCEPT for two people on the entire planet. Those two people are:

Himself
Goodell

In his case, words are just lip service, pure and simple. How he conducts himself off the field throughout his Cowboys career, no matter how long or short it may actually be, is the only thing that matters to everyone. Best of luck to him, but soundbites will not be his saving grace in Big D--or with the commissioner.

I have no doubt that he is talented enough. Its just he hasn't played in a long time. I would think they aren't going to load him up with too much right off the bat.

Thanks for the link man. I really hope Adam stays out of trouble and does big things for us. Him and Zach Thomas were the only non-Cowboys I went out of my way to watch when they played.

I really hate to hear him say that this last incident was just 'a misconstruction with the people who pay my bills'. What the heck does that even mean, lol. You are Pacman Jones, you should be paying your bills and at the very least making sure all your loose ends get tied up ASAP.

At some point Roger Goodell is going to be so tired of hearing these excuses that he's going to forget to reinstate this guy.

Jerry Jones is really going to need some help in keeping Pacman out of trouble because it's clear he doesn't understand the magnitude of how close he is to never playing in the NFL ever again. Nor does he seem to have enough intelligence to understand what's it going to take in order for him escape his past transgressions.

Just start crossing your fingers folks that at some point this season we can get this very talented football player on the field to help the team win some games.

When you make as much money as these guys do its not as simple as opening your mail, using web billpay and the like. I have handled accounts for a trades company at one time and it is not unheard of a contractor or supplier getting paid late. It happens.

Bro, he knew he had to pay the money. I know what you are talking about happens, but those situations and this one are not on the same page. His lawyer even admitted to telling them when they had the money they would pay it.

Getting paid late and getting paid so late you request an arrest warrant are two completely different animals. The casino was tired of playing games and they knew what buttons to press to get their money.

Pacman is lucky that the Casino didn't use the traditional methods of collecting debts, but opted instead to use the legal system. He would be of no use to us w/ broken kneecaps...

In any other jurisdiction than LV that would have never approximated an arrest warrant. Debtors prisons are a stupidity that should have been eliminated in the 19th century.

There is no way of knowing how Pacman handles his logistics. Perhaps he thought he had had it arranged to be paid or something of that nature. Youre talkinga bout a situation that occured months ago and something that you hvae no personal knowledge of.

Good Post. I believe w/ him learning from Deion Sanders one of the all-time greats he would aquire more techniqes in coverage, as a potential wide receiver, and possibly kick/punt return.

I believe the camp he is in with Deion going to make him an even better conerback.

Spot on.

I can't believe the excuses made for this guy. It's not that he has too much money (quite the opposite, actually) or that Las Vegas has some medieval penal code, or that everyone is out to get Pacman... It's that he's an idiot.

I get that he came from a terrible background, but if he really wants to bust his butt and learn to become a law-abiding, productive member of society, he can and should have been doing that. Gawd knows he's had enough down time the last year.

Las Vegas is the only jurisdiction in the united States that treats debt as a criminal issue. That is something hasn't been seen since the 19th century and led to the colonization of Australia. Using debt to enslave through indentured servitude is a tried and true medieval legal maneuver so yes in fact LV does have an archaic code of laws. the fact that the DA gets a cut of the loot should tell you something. But hey its Pacman.....

If he had owed the moeny to Fannie Mae or GMAC then this is never an issue. in fact there are privacy laws that protect from a debtee going public like this. Considering this day and age of mortgage foreclosures and the like how about you start talking about how those people needing to know how to become productive members of society.

I wouldn't be so quick to listen to the casino why did they decide now to bring it up? Do they normally give a year for people to pay. He is a high profile player and a large target. If something like this didn't happen i would be suprised. Prob gonna have some girls claim that he the father of they baby or something.
