It makes perfect sense if you're just starting the league from scratch. But like he said from the start, with all of the rivalries, and the whole AFL VS NFL thing, it's never going to happen.

Exactly. No idea why people go through all this trouble to do this. Absolutely no way is the NFL going to shake up the entire league like this. The closest we got when the league went to 4 divisions of 4 teams to make the conferences even. Believe this happened when Houston came into the league or shortly after. You also had Seattle switching from the AFC to NFC.

The league is too deeply rooted with all these histories and rivalries. Looking at having Dallas in a conference with LAC, Denver and Arizona? Lmao. Absolutely terrible. Dallas will never ever be taken out of the NFC East.

Can't do it any other way because of Seattle. One of the LA teams can't be in that division.



For similar reasons one of the LA teams can't be in the west. The central needs another team, Dallas is closest to the others.

Well, the Raiders are in Vegas so it makes more sense for them to be in the Central rather than an LA team.

Theoretically, yes. I think the reason it was one of the LA teams is because of the way they located the central. It's kind of south central.
