Balanced take. Thank you.I would have preferred a DT but I cant complain about getting quality in the trenches, we freaking need it on both sides of the ball.

But the defense is putridRusty I think me and you are in the minority, but I love it too. You win in the trenches and our trenches were weak. This helps. It’s not sexy but it helps.
Agreed.I'm just looking at it as did they get a good player who will help them with their picks.
One pick in and they're 1 for 1. Plug and play starter. Will be a Pro Bowler.
I know it's not sexy and the pick will be panned by most.
No but we were weak in the trenches, build the trenches is the right move.Retired as 1 of the best to ever do it that never got to play in a conference championship game…because our front office has no clue what they are doing.
And Booker is a good prospect, but please don’t try to compare him to Zach Martin. Not even comparable
Corner store liquor guy. I trust him. He’s legit.Bruger, Kiper, and Jeremiah have Booker #1. Who has Zabel?
Who the hell says this? Give me your reasoning for this....
If 2014 did a redraft, Martin would be taken in the top 5. This is a ridiculous notion. 12 is near the middle of the first round, the suggestion that a guard can't be taken there is absurd. Just absolute idiot take.
Well....that's what all the great GMs say: draft for need. This is completely false and bs.
Wow.Oh yeah? The Chiefs that have a rapidly decline offensive line that is now making Mahomes look above average? Same offensive line that got him harassed in the latest super bowl?
Your logic is stupid.
I can go with Booker if he turns out to be a good solid G. We needed one.
Zack was a total shell of himselfyeah, but we had that last year with Tyler, Beebe, Martin (well to be fair he missed some games but still feels the same...)
gonna put us in tough spot trying to get a WR and RB in next 2 rounds...
She was right on wasn't she?so much for Jane's scoop
No he is in all top 30 rankings ,that’s false! Most guys had a 2nd round grade on this guyAl Davis central.....
Guards are not the picks that energize the fan base. I get why we did it. We play in the same division as Philly and their DL. You can't beat Philly if you can't block those guys.I remember liking the Zach Martin pick and getting crucified on here for it. Might as well stay consistent. I like this pick too.
I agree but we kind of knew JJ wouldn’t pick DT in first round 2 drafts in a row.The issue isn't the pick itself, per se, but that there was a HUGE STUD at a supposed position of need available that would have been a true difference maker, and we took a solid-but-not-at-that-spot player in Booker.
I'm telling you all...bookmark this...Walker will make the Pro Bowl in his rookie year. Not drafting him is going to be a question we all ask ourselves in 3-4 years. Only if Booker plays out of his mind will we not second-guess this pick.
Dak inherited those 3 first rounders, got 3 more plus Cooper Beebe. He still needs weapons unlike Romo.Looks like as many as romo did to not make a super bowl
Everything you hear before the draft from “sources” is just a smoke screen.so much for Jane's scoop
That was the no-brainer between the two.Grant is who I wanted
Wr/cb or lb in 2nd is my bet
