Drafted by Cowboys NFL Draft: Day 2 thread

We ALWAYS have countless angry should'ves and could'ves in here, but I think we got a decent pick for #44 and #12 as well.
Trenches are good picks.
I like 44 more than 12

i feel i must own it since ive been spouting negative.

It's clear the team is sticking to their draft board. G and EDGE weren't pressing needs, but they saw a couple of guys that could be difference makers and pulled the trigger. This is a good thing. It is how you build a talented roster.

Look, I wanted a RB in the first two rounds. Been saying it for 3 years. Jeanty was the guy I wanted. He went 6th. Hampton was my second. He went 22. Judkins and Henderson were on my second round wish list. They went early 2nd.

Had we drafted a RB at 44, it would've been a big reach. The team chose to go with the guy who was arguably a 1st rd talent at a premium position. It's a move that will pay off now and in the future, rather than plugging a hole with a lesser player and looking for their replacement in a year or two. The mindset that this team needs to fill immediate holes through the draft needs to go. That line of thinking lands you Taco Charlton and Mazi Smith. Let's see what happens in the next couple of months before jumping off of the bridge, ya?

I’m decently happy with this draft.
So Donovan Ezeiruaku is shorter (6'2") and smaller (247 lbs) than Micah Parsons, plus Ezeiruaku constantly gets smothered by larger O-Tackles, especially in the run game.

Ugh.
He has long arms. Not sure why height matters at that point.

He’ll probably add weight over time - as many DL do. This isn’t a concern IMO.

If the DTs do their job then we ask Donovan to keep outside contain and flush everything back inside to the linebackers

No defensive end needs to be going head up center mass into an offensive tackle unless they’re a 2 gapping 3-4 DE

We need to just hang up the thought of getting a WR2 in the draft because most of the good ones are gone, if not they will be by the time we come back up at #76. Will have to get someone through trade or just hope Mingo is better than what we didn't get to see under Mike McCarthy.

We need to focus on grabbing a top RB in third.
I'd take Jack Bech in the third if my RB Kaleb Johnson is gone. Neither may make it to 76.

So anyone know about this new pick we just got….never heard of him….
Led FSB in sacks with 16.5, has elite acceleration and bend. Only problem is he struggles stopping the run.

Obviously the strategy is to put him opposite Parsons on obvious passing downs, you don’t want this kid getting run on.

Not a bad pick at 44, some mocks had him going in the first round.
